Despite the fact that Sharp is not the most popular business in the smartphone industry, the company nevertheless has a number of new smartphones coming out every year. The new Sharp phone features the classic Sharp design and a 10-bit 120 Hz IGZO OLED display. In addition to 5G, it uses a Qualcomm chipset not commonly utilised this year.

Sharp has not yet released information about the AQUOS sense6 smartphone’s price structure. However, it has been confirmed that the sense6 will be available for purchase by the middle of November. The Sharp Aquos Sense 6 is anticipated to cost Rs. 24,999 in India when it launches.

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Design 

In terms of design, one of the notable features of the Sharp Aquos Sense 6 is its thickness and weight. The device is only 7.9 mm thick and weighs 156 grams, which makes it one of the slimmest and the lightest 5G smartphones available in the market. Also, the Sharp Aquos Sense 6 is dust and water-resistant with IP68 certification. However, there is no Glass protection specified by the company. You will be able to choose from four different colourways, including light copper, silver, black, and a blue metallic hue.

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Display 

When it comes to display size, the new SHARP AQUOS sense 6 is very large, measuring 6.1 inches diagonally. Interestingly, despite the smartphone’s 6.3-inch screen breaking through boundaries, it’s still relatively small.  Additionally, it has a colour depth of 1 billion and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. With a waterdrop notch, a 13,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, the display has much to offer. Sharp continues to put its emphasis on the display in order to solidify its position as a leader in this area.

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Performance 

Performance is more or less mid-range, despite the flagship-level display. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage are all included in this smartphone. It is available in two different configurations. With 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, the basic model is adequate, but the top variant has an impressive 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. 

For connectivity, the phone has 5G, a USB Type-C connector and dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and NFC. As for the software, the Sharp Aquos Sense 6 runs on Android 11. 

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Camera 

In the rear, we have a triangular triple-camera configuration that is a little unusual. It has a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom. One of the cameras on the phone is an 8 MP shooter, which is housed inside the teardrop notch. Even while it’s a respectable resolution for taking selfies and making video calls, it’s not up to the standards of other mid-range smartphones now on the market. With an 8 MP 2x telephoto shooter, the primary rear camera configuration sets a new standard in this category.

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Battery 

The Sharp Aquos Sense 6 is powered by a 4,570 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Sharp did not provide any information on the charging capabilities of this device, which is a disappointment. Let’s hope for a minimum of 18 W of charging capacity.

Sharp Aquos Sense 6 Verdict 

Given the anticipated pricing of the Sharp Aquos Sense 6, the device features a decent 5G chipset along with enough RAM and storage and a superb display. The rear camera is also competent, however, the battery section is meagre here and also the selfie camera is not as per the standards. So, it’s better to go with another device from brands like Realme, Vivo or Xiaomi.
