Tecno Camon 17

Tecno has been always known for bringing some of the astonishing features in its affordable devices like an incredible camera setup, powerful battery and processor and much more. It has always given tough competition in the affordable section to its competitors like Realme and Xiaomi. With the new launch of three new devices belonging to the Camon series, the smartphone company has introduced yet another affordable device called the Tecno Camon 17 and which carries some of the features with itself that one will expect from the mid-range devices. Tecno Camon 17 Price in India 

Tecno Camon 17 is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2021. The Tecno Camon 17 is estimated to be priced around Rs. 11,999 in India. This is the base edition of the Tecno Camon 17 with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, which is likely to be available in Frost Silver/Deep sea/Tranquil Green colours. The actual pricing will be updated once the Tecno Camon 17 comes to the Indian smartphone market. 

The design and build quality are identical to that of the Tecno Camon 17 Pro and Tecno Camon 17P smartphones. The top left corner on the rear has a vertical camera configuration, while it is composed of polycarbonate material with a matte finish and a fingerprint sensor for biometric verification besides the camera module. There is no dust or water resistance, and the front of the phone has a punch-hole design with a pronounced chin at the bottom. The general design is attractive, however, the Camon logo on the back panel is quite ludicrous.

Along with the volume rocker, the power button is situated on the right side. A Type-C charging connector, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a microphone, and speaker perforation are all located on the bottom of the device. Given the large battery inside, the overall weight of Tecno Camon 17 is a little bulky. However, from an appearance point of view, the smartphone looks cool. 

Tecno Camon 17 comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with 720-pixel resolution. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. You’ll be able to scroll smoothly using the display of this device. The only missing part here is the 1080P resolution, which would have added a new dimension to the Tecno Camon 17. 

Powering the Tecno Camon 17 is the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It’s a 22nm chipset, which is capable of delivering powerful performance for gaming and multitasking. Further, the circuit board consists of 128GB internal storage and  6GB RAM for seamless performance and storing multiple apps and other data.

There is no 5G connectivity, although the smartphone does support 4G networks. In addition, Tecno Camon 17 is powered by the HIOS OS, which is based on Android 11. However, bear in mind that the malware is still there.

Tecno’s Camon series smartphones are known for their camera arrangements, and the same has been done here. The key selling point of the Tecno Camon 17 is its front camera, which is a 16MP selfie camera with excellent performance. This is mostly targeted towards photographers looking for the best photography smartphone for the money. It also has a dual flash, which aids in achieving the best results possible in low light.

A 48 MP Quad-camera system is found on the back. A 48MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP Bokeh camera are included in the package. Time Lapse in 2K resolution is supported by the back camera.

When it comes to battery performance, you are being provided with a 5000 mAh large battery. Tecno Camon 17 supports 18W fast charging as well. For connecting the charger there is a Type-C charging port.

Tecno Camon 17 comes with some of Tecno’s top-of-the-line features, delivering a seamless operative experience. A powerful processor and battery have also been integrated, allowing for lag-free multitasking over extended periods of time.
