Vivo Y53s Design
Vivo Y53s has a highly appealing appearance, with a gradient-coloured back and an interestingly positioned quad-camera system. On the front, we have the 6.58-inch AMOLED display with the selfie camera tucked away in a U-shaped notch. The volume and power buttons, which come integrated with a fingerprint sensor, are placed on the right side of the device. The loudspeaker, the USB Type-C port, and the primary microphone are placed on the bottom side of the phone while the headphone jack and secondary microphone are placed on the top. The phone weighs in at 190g.
Vivo Y53s Display
Vivo Y53s has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels, making it an FHD+ display. Vivo could attempt to adopt new ideas to give the design components a feeling of freshness since the U-shaped notch for the selfie camera is getting a little old lately.
Vivo Y53s Processor
Powering the Vivo Y53s is a mid-range MediaTek Helio G80, which is an Octa-core chipset. For the storage and memory solutions, we have 128GB of memory and 8GB of RAM, which is more than enough for an average user. There is one more option, which ensures 3GB RAM expansion for a more seamless operation. Vivo Y53s runs on Android 11 with Vivo’s Funtouch 11.1 custom skin on top of it.
Vivo Y53s Camera
Vivo Y53s has a triple camera setup on the back. The main camera with a resolution of 64 megapixels is included in the camera system. A 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth lens are also included. This is an improvement over the 5G variant, which only has two back cameras. Similarly, the 4G version has a 16MP selfie camera. The Vivo Y53s 5G variant, on the other hand, comes with an 8MP camera.
Vivo Y53s Battery
With the Vivo Y53s 4G phone, Vivo has also improved battery charging speed. Unlike the 5G model, which supports 18 watts of fast charging, the 4G version supports 33 watts of fast charging. A 5000mAh battery powers the smartphone. The additional features include a Type-C charging port.
Vivo Y53s First Impressions
Vivo has improved the camera setup in the 4G variant of Vivo Y53s and provided it with a much better fast charging speed and a huge battery. However, they have stripped the 90Hz refresh rate to 60Hz and replaced the chipset with an average CPU.
