Xiaomi Mi FlipBuds Pro

The Xiaomi Mi Flipbuds Pro are the newest premium wireless earphones from the Xiaomi brand. The Chinese manufacturer hopes to gain customers’ favour in the fiercely competitive TWS market with the energy-saving Qualcomm QCC515 chip, which includes aptX support and new Active Noise Cancelling technology. Moreover, this technology supports a maximum noise reduction depth of 40 dB(A) and is designed to reduce background noise by up to 99 per cent.

The design fits well in the pocket and is impressively ergonomic. Together with the headphones, the Xiaomi TWS’s plastic charging case weighs 60 g (about 2 oz), which feels substantial in the hands. Furthermore, wireless charging is still supported even though the lightning emblem on the rear has been removed. Through a USB-C connector, the charging case itself can also be powered.

A Qualcomm low-power Bluetooth audio SoC designed for cordless earphones is included in the FlipBuds Pro. The QCC5151 is a single-chip solution that supports the Qualcomm aptX adaptive audio codec in these earbuds by Xiaomi. Additionally, for its premium TWS, Xiaomi offers a music playback length of up to 7 hours without active noise cancellation.
