Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming Edition

Redmi K40 Game  Edition smartphone series has debuted in China. It has appeared as the brand’s first intense gaming handset. It is the latest addition to the Redmi K40 series, which also includes the Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+. As the name implies, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition includes several dedicated gaming features including adjustable shoulder buttons, three microphones, Dolby Atmos support, and audio balanced by JBL, among others. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Price in India 

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is available in multiple storage options. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition price for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option is 1,999 yuan, 2,199 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, 2,399 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, 2,699 yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and 2,799 yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage Bruce Lee Special Edition. There are three colour options available including Black Silver and White. 

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is designed more like a standard phone than other gaming phones, which have more striking designs and are usually thicker. There is a very small lightning bolt at the back, which is actually the flash and we have RGB’s around the cameras. On the front and back, there is Gorilla Glass protection with an Aluminum frame. The rear panel comes with a glossy appearance, which attracts fingerprint smudges. It is quite slim than the K40 model, however, a little bit taller than that. 

On the left side, there is a volume rocker with triple microphones on the left and the bottom and top. There is no 3.5mm headphone this time around. The device consists of dual stereo JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C charging port and we have a dual SIM tray with just two slots for SIM cards only and no space for a microSD card. The right side features the power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor and there are two magnetic shoulder triggers, which pop up much like what we’ve seen in the Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. Also, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition features IP53 dust and water resistance. 

The display is the most significant point of interaction for gaming on smartphones. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a 6.67-inch touchscreen for improved visual performance and a more relaxed user experience. With a lower bezel of 2.7mm, COP technology provides a better gaming experience. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz, and significantly enhanced high-resolution touch technology.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is powered by MediaTek’s new 6nm Dimensity 1200 mobile processing platform. As compared to its predecessor, Dimensity 1000+, overall output has improved by 22% while power consumption has decreased by 25%. There are multiple RAM options available from 6GB to 12GB along with two storage options including 128GB and 256GB. Apart from this, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. 

A three-dimensional cooling system is included with the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Multi-stacked graphite sheets combined with super-large vapour reservoirs cover all of the device’s main components, allowing for good gaming efficiency. The cooling system also employs a new aerospace-grade heat dissipation material with an integrated “white graphene” sheet, which not only effectively dissipates heat for the charging chip, but also provides sufficient insulation to reduce its effect on nearby antennas.

The system also elevates the game control experience with its magnetic dual-trigger design, which allows users to play games with four fingers rather than just two. This significantly improves the immersive atmosphere of most action games

It not only provides exceptional performance, but it also includes 5G dual-band technology, which supports 5G carrier aggregation and improves network speed by 100 per cent. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition includes Dolby Atmos and is certified by the JBL synthesis system, providing a fully immersive gaming experience.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a 16MP selfie camera. The phone’s rear camera module, which has RGB lighting on the edges, includes a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Portrait beauty, super night scene, video HDR, video beauty, film filter, time-lapse photography, dual camera mode, 1080p slow-motion video recording, and 720p slow-motion video shooting are among the photography and video features available on the smartphone.

Under the hood, there is a much bigger 5000 mAh battery, which can be charged from 0 to 100% in 42 minutes. All the credit goes to the 67W Flash wired charging.
