Let’s take a look at the Honor 50 Lite to know what it has got for the users.
Honor 50 Lite price in India
Honor 50 Lite is available in a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is priced at EUR 299 (approximately Rs 26,000). The sale of this smartphone will begin on November 18, according to the manufacturer. The colour options available are Deep Sea Blue, Space Silver and Midnight Black.
Honor 50 Lite Design
In terms of design, Honor 50 Lite looks very much like Huawei’s Nova 8i, both on both the front and back, with a particularly eye-catching camera chamber on the rear. The main difference is that the Honor emblem is prominently displayed and the body is coloured Blue, Black, and Silver. Double punch holes are visible on the front to accommodate the front camera.
The rear panel features curved edges, which makes it very comfortable to hold. There is a fingerprint sensor on the right edge on top of the power button along with the volume rocker. Moving down to the bottom, there is a Type-C charging port, a single firing speaker and a SIM Tray.
Honor 50 Lite Display
Automatic colour temperature conversion and brightness adjustment are included on the 6.67″ HONOR FullView Display. More screen real estate is available owing to the 1.05mm extremely thin bezel. However, when others are providing AMOLED panels in their devices at the given price point, Honor has gone with the TFT panel, which overshadows the other offerings in this section. Also, there is a normal refresh rate which is another drawback for the given price.
Honor 50 Lite Performance
Honor hasn’t specified the chipset used in this device and there is only one thing confirmed and that is the device carries 128GB of internal storage and features 8GB of RAM. Also, the device supports 4G networks and doesn’t support 5G connectivity, when other manufacturers are grabbing the market with the latest 5G devices.
The major headline of the Honor 50 Lite is the inclusion of the Google services that were absent in the Honor devices for quite a long time. The device runs on MIUI 4.2, which is compatible with Android 11.
Honor 50 Lite Camera
The phone sports a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and then 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors rounding off the back camera array. Honor has embedded those lenses into a large circular camera bump. The Honor 50 Lite’s front camera uses a 16MP sensor. It is capable of taking acceptable images with its primary sensor, albeit it falls short of the experiences given by other manufacturers at this price point, particularly since the additional cameras on the phone vary from competent to practically worthless.
Honor 50 Lite Battery
Coming to the battery, there is a decent 4300 mAh battery for carrying your daily activities without interruptions. However, a 5000 mAh battery would have been appreciated, given the offerings from other devices from the same price point. There is a whopping 66W fast charging capacity available and according to the company, it can refill the battery up to 40% within 10 minutes, which is quite interesting.
Verdict
At the given price point, Honor is offering a 4G device with a normal refresh rate and meagre secondary cameras. Also, there is only a 4300 mAh battery. There only feature that favours the Honor 50 Lite is the 66W fast charging support, rest of the features along with the absence of 5G connectivity makes this device unfit to go with.
