LG K10 is a polished mid-range phone arriving with a decent specification to tackle the tight mid-range market. Priced at Rs. 13,500, the phone fails to live up to the competition that it comes in and falls flat.

The processor on this phone is quite weak and display that it comes in is quite dated. It does not arrive with unique camera specifications either. The only strength of the phone is its brand since there are many better phones present in the market at this range.

The LG K10 has an okay phone for the mid-range section of the market. The phone has a few pros and cons:

  • The LG K10 arrives with an impressive metallic frame which is quite compact.
  • The phone has an amazing bright display which can be used outdoors.
  • The battery of the phone is quite adequate and can chug on for most of the day.

  • The power button on the phone is not in an ergonomic position.
  • The display size is too small, and it is just HD, which is quite dated.
  • The phone arrives with a weak processor that will lag if the phone is pushed too much.
  • The phone has a slow camera.
  • The K10 has mediocre cameras.

The LG K10 has the LG brand going for it, but the phone is not a very good phone. It comes with inadequate specifications and hence, it is only recommended if you find the price cheap. However, the phone is quite pricey and not value-for-money.

Expert Opinion

LG K10’s only strong point remains its brand name. Otherwise, the K10 falters in performance, battery and display – delivering a poor mobile phone.

The K10 arrives with mediocre screen size, going for 5.3-inches. It is quite a disappointing size since most budget phones get you 5.5-inches and above. However, the phone with HD, arriving with a resolution of a 1280 x 720 pixels. On paper, it might look like a decent resolution, but HD is woefully low, considering most brands already offer the same or better resolution. However, the colours are quite sharp and bright, which does not make it seem low resolution. However, the phone does have bezels, thereby is not a very immersive handset.

Display Resolution720 x 1280 pixels

As a low-priced LG phone, the LG K10 brings an oomph in its design to satisfy both LG fans and average users alike. It’s a comfortable set to handle and has an impressive feel to it. However, the phone does not have the necessary grippiness that will make it easily manageable. The phone is quite slippery, so you have to handle it with care. Plus, the phone loses points in terms of ergonomics. The fingerprint scanner on this phone is placed on the rear and the same acts as a power button. However, it’s not easy to hit this button. If you choose to ignore that issue, then this set can be a satisfying one.

The LG K10 arrives with a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz. It is a weak processor and just okay for an entry-level handset. It can handle a little bit of multitasking with essential apps bit once you use intensive apps, the phone tends to slow down. Gaming is not its strong points though you can still play average games on this phone. However, don’t push it with high-end phones.

RAM/Internal Storage16 GB, 2 GB RAM
Chipset GPMediatek MT6750 (28 nm)

The LG K10 comes with a 13 MP camera and a 5MP selfie camera. In normal light co dictions, the primary camera can click passable shots. It captures plenty of details, but it does capture a bit of noise. In challenging light situations, however, you get a lot of visual noise. The selfie camera can click decent selfies for social media. The K10 is just about a decent shooter. The camera is also a bit slow due to the weak processor.

The battery life of the K10 is quite decent at 3000 mAh. Since the phone has an HD panel, it does not take in too much power. It can easily get through a whole day with light use. However, charging might take a bit of time since it does not come with fast charging.

Battery TypeLi-Ion

The LG K10 (2018) is an accomplished phone with an attractive design. As a budget phone, it does keep the performance low and cuts down on many other aspects. The camera performance is just passable. If you are a budget user and an LG fan, then this phone can be your perfect match. Otherwise, there are better phones in the market.
