Priced at Rs. 5, 500, this phone comes with a great battery powerhouse and has all the basic smartphone features. It has a 5.2 inch screen and a pretty decent camera. For its asking price and given features, this model is a pretty good option to buy.
This model is rather bulky and gets uncomfortable when held for too long. It has a glossy back, and a 5.2 inch touchscreen. The size and weight of the phone is a drawback because it is not fit for daily, long term usage. It has an average front and back camera, storage is expandable and it runs on a previous Android Operating System. The design is similar to that of an average smartphone and fails to stand out.
The phone has a 5.2 inches screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 282 PPI. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9 with 16 M colours. Compared to smartphones today, it has a pretty below average screen size and resolution.
Micromax Bharat 5 Plus has a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor which runs on Mali T720 MP2 graphics. It contains a chipset of Mediatek MT6737 and has a 2 GB RAM. It runs on the backdated Android version 7.0 Nougat, and is not upgradeable. It has an average storage or 16 GB and when it does run out of space, there is an expandable memory of up to 64 GB. The memory card slot is a hybrid one and one will have to make the choice between a second sim or an SD card. User reviews claim that the phone lags a lot and it completely unfit for multitasking and switching between applications. However, for light users with minimum phone usage and a budget, this phone is a viable option.
This model has a basic 5MP front camera with an LED flash and has a single rear camera of 8 MP. The camera is not a feature of this phone which stands out. It is pretty basic and available in any smartphone. But for its offering price, the model has a pretty decent camera. The camera also offers the sought after portrait mode. It also has Full HD video recording feature at 1080p at 30 fps FHD. The camera has all basic features at a comparatively lower quality of pictures and image resolution.
The model has a non-removable, Li- Polymer battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. It does not support fast charging and cannot be user replaced. There is no temperature sensor to measure the heating of the battery. The phone has the battery capacity similar to that of a power bank and is supposed to have a standby time of 21 days. This model offers OTG support and can support to charge other devices with its vast battery capacity. User reviews too claim that this phone has a long battery app even when used thoroughly throughout the day. The battery performance of Micromax Bharat 5 Plus is its biggest selling point.
For a budget phone and for someone who uses less apps and has less phone usage, this phone is a good option to look at. But if someone uses a large number of applications and has a lot of screen time, the phone will slow down and apps will lag. It is best that they look at other phones within the same price range available on the market. Apart from a great battery performance, all other features of the phone are basic and average.
