Apple AirPods 3 May Launch in October; In Production

Most were expecting the launch of Apple AirPods 3 during the California Streaming event on September 14, 2021. However, the launch did not happen for the TWS earbuds. Although the company launched its flagship iPhone 13 series and iPad mini along with the new 9th-gen iPad. Now, in a new report, AirPods 3 have entered production and the units have also started to ship from suppliers to Apple.

Furthermore, it adds that the initial production of the rumoured true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones from Apple has been low. This could be the reason why we didn’t get them along with the other launches on Tuesday. On the other hand, reports hint that the company may launch the second-generation AirPods Pro along with the Apple AirPods 3 at a launch event next month.

Apple AirPods Launch Next Month

According to DigiTimes, component suppliers and assemblers have already kicked off shipments for Apple’s new-generation AirPods. But the overall deliveries are proceeding slowly, according to industry sources. These may come to market soon. Meanwhile, reports hint that Apple AirPods 3 might come with a new chipset and support Apple Music Lossless Audio. The report also speculates a gain in battery life over AirPods (2nd generation).

Additionally, reports hint that Apple AirPods 3 may be launched during an event in October. It can launch along with the second generation of the AirPods Pro. The launch event next month may unveil new M1X chipset-powered Mac devices. According to another report by Kuo, the upcoming TWS earphones will either be expensive than the AirPods 2. Or it will have the same price as its predecessor.
