Apple has announced a new 24-inch iMac with the M3 chip at its Scary Fast event. The company showcased its revamped Mac lineup and the M3 processor that offers improved performance and efficiency. The new 24-inch Apple iMac has been launched in India and retains the same design as its predecessor while featuring the new upgraded M3 chip.
24-inch iMac With M3 Specifications
The new 24-inch iMac has a new M3 processor while maintaining a similar look to the previous model. This new M3 chip is available with an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU.

It supports up to 24GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage. Apple claims the new M3 chip is 2x faster than the M1 chip. Furthermore, the efficiency cores in the 3nm chip are up to 50 per cent faster than M1, resulting in less power consumption.
The new M3 chipset also supports hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing for better gaming experience and media creation. It also has a 16-core Neural Engine for improved machine learning and video performance.

The 24-inch iMac sports a 24-inch Retina Display with 4.5K resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, four USB-C ports including two Thunderbolt ports and Gigabit Ethernet support.
You also get a 1080p FaceTime camera on the front with “studio-quality mics” and six speaker sound system with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support. The 24-inch iMac runs on macOS Sonoma out of the box, and buyers can purchase a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for enhanced security.

The new iMac is built using 100 per cent recycled aluminium in the stand, recycled rare earth magnets, recycled tin soldering in multiple printed circuit boards and 100 per cent recycled gold in the plating of multiple circuit boards.
24-inch iMac Price With M3 In India
The 24-inch Apple iMac with M3 starts at Rs.1,34,900 for an 8-core CPU and GPU model in India. This variant has 8GB of unified memory, 256GB SSD and two Thunderbolt ports. You also get the Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse with the 24-inch iMac.It will be available for education buyers for Rs.1,29,900 in green, pink, blue, and silver colours.

Next is the variant with an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU with a price of Rs.1,54,900 and Rs.1,44,900 for education. This model has 8GB of unified memory, 256GB SSD, two Thunderbolt ports and two additional USB-3 ports. You also get a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Magic Mouse. It will be available in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver colours.
The 24-inch iMac will be available for order starting October 30, with shipments and availability in Apple stores and Apple Authorised resellers from November 7.
