Apple’s New MacBook Pro Lineup With M3 Chips Launched In India

Apple has unveiled its new revamped MacBook Pro lineup featuring the new M3 chips at its Scary Fast event. The new MacBook Pro lineup consists of the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro featuring M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chipset. Apple has launched these new M3 MacBooks Pro with Liquid Retina XDR displays in India, and they are currently available for pre-order.

New MacBook Pros Available In 14-inch And 16-inch Sizes

The new MacBook Pro lineup is available in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch, sporting the new M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chipsets. Starting with the base M3, available in the 14-inch size, it is an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU with 60 per cent faster performance than M1. The 14-inch model replaces the 13-inch MacBook Pro, marking the end of the Touch ID laptop.

On the other hand, the MacBook 14-inch and 16-inch with M3 Pro are configurable with up to 12-core CPU and an 18-core GPU.Apple claims the M3 Pro is 40 per cent faster than the M1 Pro and 11 times faster than MacBook Pro with Intel chips.

Last but not least are the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M3 Max, which offers up to 16-core CPU and a 40-core GPU. The Cupertino giant claims the CPU is 80 per cent faster, and the GPU is up to 50 per cent better than the M1 Max.

These 3nm chips support dynamic caching to allocate only the amount of memory needed for each task. It also supports mesh shading and hardware-accelerated ray tracing for realistic game graphics.

The top-of-the-line M3 Max chip supports up to 128GB RAM, the highest for any Apple laptop. Comparatively, the other models with M3 and M3 Pro are available with up to 24GB and 36GB RAM, respectively. The M3 MacBook Pro has up to 2TB SSD configuration, while the M3 Pro and M3 Max versions can have up to 8TB SSD.

M3 MacBook Pro Specifications

All MacBook Pro variants have a Liquid Retina XDR screen with a resolution of 3024×1964 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the screen has a peak brightness of 1600 nits for HDR and 600 nits for SDR. You also get a backlit magic keyboard with Touch ID and ambient light sensor.

For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Two Thunderbolt ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro With M3 offers up to 22 hours of battery life, while the M3 Pro and M3 Max versions claim to provide up to 18 hours of battery backup. However, the 16-inch MacBook Pro With M3 Pro and M3 Max can last up to 22 hours on a single charge.

Apple MacBook Pro M3 Price In India

The 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro with M3 starts at Rs.1,69,900 and Rs.1,58,900 for Education in India. It will be available in Silver and Space Gray colours. Similarly, you can buy the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro for Rs.1,99,900 and Rs.1,84,900 for Education.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro begins at Rs.2,49,900 and Rs.2,29,900 for Education. You can also buy the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Max for a starting price of Rs.3,49,900.

All M3 Pro and M3 Max MacBooks Pro will be available in a new Space Black and Silver colour. These will be available for pre-order starting October 30 and will go on sale in Apple Store and Apple Authorised Retailers from November 7.
