Reportedly, Google is all set to bring heart rate tracking and respiratory tracking innovations on the Pixel 6 through the Google Fit app. The latest features were available on Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a for a while, and now Pixel 6 owners too can take support from them.
On the other hand, some Pixel 6 users are also complaining about the elimination of the Magic Eraser tool subsequent to the latest Google Photos update. Repeatedly, this seems to have hit only a few users as the update rollout has now been stopped.
Google to roll out Heart Rate Tracking Feature
Google reports that Google Pixel 6 is now getting heart rate and respiratory tracking features via the Google Fit app. The app will use the device camera to measure heart rate and respiratory rate. Google reportedly suggests that this feature is not for medical use.
Also, when the Google heartbeat tracking feature was tested, the results were accurate and coordinated to Fitbit tracker. However, the reading was approximately slow by 30 beats per minute in a darker room than in a well-lighted area. Further, talking if the users have received the feature, they can check it by visiting Browse > Vitals.
Additionally, Android Central said that the Google Photos app has dismissed the Magic Eraser feature for several Pixel 6 users. However, the Magic Eraser tool elimination issue is only for the ones who downloaded the latest update. Besides, others can still use the Magic Eraser tool on their Pixel 6 as the rollout of this update has reportedly been stopped.
