Last year, on October 19, the Google Pixel 6 series of devices went official. Both the devices in the series have now received their January 2022 ‘At a Glance’ Update. The brand new update brings along a ton of bug fixes and software optimisations to both the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro. Alongside, several changes have been been made to the Google At a Glance widget. Here’s everything that is new in the latest update!
Google At a Glance Update – Steps to Access New Features
The brand new Google At a Glance Update changes to the Google Pixel 6 include showcasing the Timer and Stopwatch information on the At a Glance widget. Here’s how to toggle it on easily:
Step 1: In order to access and enable the new features, long press on the widget. Note that this will be available after you unlock the home screen.
Step 2: Now, tap on the Customize option which takes you to Home screen settings.
Step 3: Here, you will be able to see the brand new features all ready for you to toggle on. Enable them.
So, what does enabling these features do? If you enable the Timer and Stopwatch widgets, they will show up on your At a Glance widget. Furthermore, the Bedtime and Fitness toggles will offer real-time data of your upcoming bedtime and fitness activities. However, for the Bedtime and Fitness toggles, your device needs to be connected to apps like the Adidas Running app or Strava.
Additional personalisation options include the ability to block out sensitive contents from appearing on your Google Pixel 6 lock screen. This is definitely cherry on top with the brand new Google At a Glance update.
