Google’s first foldable phone has arrived! The Google Pixel Fold has just had its first official renderings leaked, despite still being in Google’s testing facilities. They contain information on the devices’ characteristics, accessibility, and cost.
Google has long been rumoured to be developing a foldable phone. For quite some time, leaks of the Google Pixel Fold have been circulating. According to specific sources, Google has abandoned plans to introduce the Pixel Fold. However, it appears that the Pixel Fold will be released next year. The company has not confirmed any information yet, but the latest rumour has disclosed the Pixel Fold’s design, pricing, and other specifications.
According to the source, the Pixel Fold will be available in May 2023, with prices beginning at $1,799 (about Rs 1.45 lakhs). Google’s first folding smartphone’s specifications are unclear, but it will run on Android 13L or Android 12L – Google’s custom software for foldable devices. The phone will also likely take features from Google’s Pixel 7 Pro. It may have a real-tone camera for capturing accurate skin tones. The photo editor may contain a remove blur function to enhance features in hazy photographs.

Specifications of Google Pixel Fold (Leaked)
According to the developer, the Pixel Fold (Felix) will come with Samsung-made displays, both externally and internally. The internal folding screen will support a resolution of 1840×2208. It is 123mm x 148mm in size. The display will have a peak brightness of 1200 nits and an average brightness of 800 nits.
The flexible internal display of the Pixel Fold will offer a high refresh rate. Wojciechowski is unclear about this, but it might reach 120Hz. At the time, this is all we know about the display specifications of the foldable phone.

As previously stated, the Pixel Fold will have three rear cameras. The primary sensor is expected to be a Sony IMX787. The setup will also include an IMX386 ultra-wide lens and an S5K3J1 telephoto lens. The inside display may use an IMX355 sensor, while the outside may have an S5K3J1 telephoto selfie camera
According to the rumour, the Pixel Fold will be heavy, though the actual weight is unknown. To put this in context, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is one of the lightest folding (notebook-folding form factor) phones, at 263 grams.
