Instagram now allows 4 people to live stream together in one virtual room. This feature is just like a live group video calling feature. This group broadcasting feature is known as live rooms feature.
Previously, Instagram was only allowing one user to go live with only one person.
Instagram is updating itself a lot nowadays. Recently it came up with the reels feature. After the Indian government banned Tiktok, Insta took the opportunity and made a feature that is an alternate version of Tiktok.
Since last year Insta is adding new features and updates to the platform. In the past several days, the company upgraded the lite application of Instagram. Now users can watch reels on the Instagram lite application. However, they cannot create serials on the lite app.
Live rooms in Instagram
The new feature, live rooms allow users to engage in real-time broadcast sessions. Other Instagram users can tune into that broadcast and hear the conversation. They can also comment on it and react to the live stream.
Also, the users can buy badges to show appreciation on the broadcast or for the host of the broadcast. Instagram is also adding a new feature for the host of the broadcasts. Now now the hosts can add shopping aur fundraising feature on their livestreams.
Lastly, Instagram is hoping that doubling up on live streaming features can open up more creative opportunities. With this feature, people will be able to start a talk show or host a jam session for their followers. This will connect people and will help them to socialize with other users.
