Motorola has launched another E-Series smartphone of theirs in Europe. The Motorola Moto E40 adds to the already long series of smartphones. This particular E-Series smartphone by the brand has gone official as a budget-friendly device. So, it is a good combination of a modern design and specifications at an affordable price.
The smartphone will also be making it to the Indian market. Flipkart has already put up a dedicated microsite for the device, revealing its key specs and launch date. The Motorola Moto E40 is all set to launch in India on October 12, 2021. Now, ahead of launch, we know what to expect, thanks to the European launch of the device.
Motorola Moto E40 Specifications
The Moto E40 specs include a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display. In addition, we also get to see a trendy and fast 90Hz refresh rate. When it comes to the processor, the smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with the MyUX custom skin on top. We also get to see a dedicated Google Assistant button on the device.

On the processor front, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T700 chipset. The octa-core chipset pairs up with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Further, the internal storage on the device is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.
Moving to optics, the Motorola Moto E40 sports a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor alongside two 2-megapixel sensors. These two 2-megapixel sensors are for macro and depth shots, respectively. At the front, the device features an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

On the battery front, the Motorola Moto E40 specs include a 5000mAh battery. The battery capacity pairs up with a 10W fast charging support. When it comes to connectivity, the device packs all the essential options. These include dual-SIM support, 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also a USB Type-C port for charging the device. Moving on to dimensions, the budget-friendly smartphone measures 168.1×75.6×9.1mm and weighs 198 grams.
Moto E40 Price in Europe and Availability
The Motorola Moto E40 price in Europe is set at EUR 149 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. Now, this converts to roughly Rs. 12,900 in the Indian currency. We can expect to see a similar pricing of the device upon its launch in India. As mentioned before, it is all set to launch on October 12, 2021, in India. Lastly, the smartphone comes in the Carbon Grey and Pink Clay colour options.
