    Nothing Ear (1) Companion App Goes Live on Google Play Store Ahead of Launch

    Carl Pei’s tech startup Nothing is almost ready for its first product launch on July 27. We know that they are going to launch the Nothing Ear (1) TWS. Moreover, the company has also confirmed it is launching in both Indian and international markets at the same time. Ahead of its launch, leaks and several confirmations on its specs from the company have confirmed some key specs of the device. However, in a recent development, the companion app for earbuds has surfaced on the Google Play Store.

    Ahead of the launch, the TWS’s app is listed on the Google Play Store, revealing key details. The listing confirms some of the key details and features of the device. This app is available as ear (1) – Nothing earbuds on Google Play Store and is 10MB in size. The app description states it is compatible with devices running Android 5.0+ and above.

    Moreover, the app info also mentions it will offer the option to customize touch controls. The Nothing Ear (1) TWS will offer three different modes. It will come with a Noise Cancellation mode, Transparency Mode, and an “Off” mode. Additionally, the image reveals that the ANC will come in “Light” and “Maximum” modes. The app will also come with its own equalizer to tune the audio based on the user’s preferences.

    In addition, Ear (1) will come with support for Find my Devices, which will be useful when the user has lost their earbuds. It will also support in-ear detection. This will automatically play audio when the user wears the earbuds. Similarly, the audio will pause when the user will remove the earbuds. Plus, other details revealed include checking the battery status of the earbuds and charging case, turn on/off gesture on earbuds, etc.

    Meanwhile, Nothing and StockX announced a partnership to auction a limited stock of its debut product – Ear 1 TWS. This will happen through an early access sale starting from July 19 till July 21. Buyers can get early access to the Nothing Ear 1s at StockX.
