OnePlus 9RT Launched in India: Everything You Need to Know

OnePlus has finally launched their OnePlus 9RT in India today, that is, January 14, 2022. The flagship smartphone has launched alongside Buds Z2. This new smartphone comes with flagship-grade specifications at a very attractive price point. It has launched as the latest addition to the OnePlus 9 series of phones. Moreover, it competes against the upcoming Xiaomi 11T Pro and even the more expensive Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in India.

OnePlus 9RT Price in India

The smartphone has launched in India in two storage configurations. The base variant has 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. It is available at Rs. 42,999. There is also a 12GB + 256GB variant priced at Rs. 46,999. The phone comes in two colours – Black and Silver.

Furthermore, in terms of launch offers, customers with an HDFC Bank card can claim a cashback of Rs 2,000. The phone goes on sale starting January 17, 2022. It will also be available for purchase during the Amazon Great Indian Republic Day sale.

OnePlus 9RT Specifications

Display & Software

This OnePlus smartphone flaunts a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone has a flat-screen with thin bezels around the display. It also has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen. In addition, the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.

When it comes to software, the flagship smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with OxygenOS 11.3 right out of the box. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. OnePlus 9RT also gets a touch sampling rate of a whopping 600Hz. The display also comes with 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage along with HDR10+ certification. We can also see a peak brightness of 1300 nits.

Processor

On the processor front, the OnePlus 9RT specs include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This octa-core flagship chipset pairs up with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There are two other variants for the device, an 8GB/128GB and an 8GB/256GB one. In addition, the smartphone also gets 7GB of Dynamic RAM. This feature basically uses part of the internal storage as virtual RAM to further increase performance.

Camera & Battery

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 9RT specs feature a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 primary sensor alongside a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary sensor. In addition, there is a 2-megapixel sensor in the setup as well. At the front, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 9RT packs a 4,500mAh battery along with 65T Warp Charge fast charging support. Moreover, the smartphone most likely sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, nothing has been confirmed on that front at the time of writing. In addition, the smartphone comes with 5G connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi and a USB Type-C port for charging purposes.
