    PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is going free-to-play soon! Yes, it is finally happening. It is for all players on PC and Console. Although it doesn’t come as a shock to many when PUBG: Battlegrounds announced this development. However, that doesn’t mean those who bought the game already as are not going to benefit. There will still be paid options moving forward for those looking to further support it. Moreover, you will also get some extra goodies. Here’s what you need to know about the free-to-play switch for PUBG:

    When does PUBG: Battlegrounds go Free-to-Play?

    It officially goes free-to-play on January 12, but the exact time when this will occur varies depending on your platform. Find them below:

    • PC: January 11 at 11 PM PT / January 12 at 2 AM ET
    • Console: January 12 at midnight PT / 3 AM ET

    For Pre-Registration

    Users pre-registering for the game before today, January 11, 2022, will actually give a number of in-game cosmetic rewards such as:

    • Highslide Slick Backpack
    • Highslide Slick Top
    • 2 Preset Slot Coupons (7 Days)

    However, if you invite three friends to pre-register up through January 11, 2022, you’ll all receive a Highside Slick Helmet and Iron G-Coin Box, as well. Additionally, you’ll get a chance at a bonus reward:
