OnePlus is preparing to launch the Nord CE 5G and Nord N200 5G, two new mid-range smartphones. CE is the shorthand for “Core Edition”. While the Nord CE 5G will be available in Europe and India on June 10, the OnePlus Nord N200 5G, will only available in the United States and Canada. Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, announced the launch of the new smartphones and provided a few additional details about the upcoming, more affordable alternatives to the company’s flagship smartphones.  Lau goes on to say, “we have distilled the original Nord down to its core elements, and added a few extra features to create a great everyday phone at an even more affordable price”. The company hasn’t released much details about the smartphones’ specifications, other than the fact that they’ll be 5G capable and promise a seamless user experience.

Is the OnePlus Nord CE 5G the Nord 2 that has been rumored?

OnePlus had revealed the name OnePlus Nord 2 on its website during an earlier leak. The company accidentally placed Nord 2 in its list of compatible phones in its FAQ section. Which implies that it will be released soon. The post was later changed, though. During his interview, Lau made no particular mention of the Nord 2. But we believe that the Nord 2 will be a separate gadget.
