Oneplus after entering the flagship segment with the Oneplus 8 series, is planning to come back to the segment it started with, the mid-range segment by offering killer features at a competitive price. OnePlus NORD or the long-rumoured Oneplus 8 Lite is the newest addition to the Oneplus range as a successor of the OnePlus X. Oneplus NORD launches with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and a 90Hz display, along with 5G capability.

OnePlus Z is launched as the OnePlus Nord and the smartphone is priced very economically. This is a massive move for OnePlus given the fact that the current OnePlus smartphones are being sold in the premium segment and it is becoming increasingly difficult to call OnePlus a Flagship Killer. The brand has made a few sacrifices to reach this targeted price such as the exclusion of the curved display and a flagship chipset. OnePlus initially started at a very affordable price point but over the past few years with increasing prices with each new variant, the smartphone is now considered inaccessible just like many flagships from brands such as Samsung and Apple.

The OnePlus NORD comes with a relatively weaker processor compared to the current OnePlus Flagships. This smartphone will compete with other offerings of Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and more at a mid-range or upper mid-range segment. Luckily, OnePlus is still retaining the features that matter to its users such as high refresh rate display, good software experience, decent camera setup, and more. This was previously experimented by OnePlus with the launch of the OnePlus X as a relatively cheaper alternative to the OnePlus Flagship. OnePlus NORD is a similar model this year with small sacrifices in the hardware of the to make it at a price point that is attractive to the public as a mass.

    Oneplus Z Price in India

OnePlus NORD is a budget version from the brand with fewer fancy offerings as in the flagship Oneplus 8 series; but nothing major that you might miss. OnePlus NORD price in India starts at a whopping Rs.24,999 for the 6GB+64GB variant and shocks the users. OnePlus NORD 8GB+128GB storage model is priced at Rs.27,999 while the topmost variant of 12GB+256GB storage costs Rs.29,999.

OnePlus NORD at this price will be a destructive competition for a lot of major brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme. It is also one of the lowest-priced devices with 5G capability.

OnePlus NORD at this price will be a destructive competition for a lot of major brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme. It is also one of the lowest-priced devices with 5G capability.

Oneplus NORD comes pretty much with the design you asked for at this price. The dual punch-hole selfie cameras are located There is an in-display fingerprint scanner on the display as well. The front side is flat, not curved as in Oneplus 8. The bezels are totally negligible resulting in an immersive viewing experience. The glass back on the back has a vertical camera setup on the top-left corner.

OnePlus comes in two dashing colour variants – Gray Onyx and Blue Marble.

The display on the OnePlus Nord might be a little smaller than what we saw in the Oneplus 8 series but feels as good. It comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The refresh rate on the display is 90Hz which is definite to thrill you when you are scrolling, gaming or simply using the device.

OnePlus Nord is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and not the Mediatek Dimensity 1000 processor as it was long rumoured. For assisting your gaming, it boasts the Adreno 620 GPU. It is paired up with 6GB and 8GB RAM, and up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. OnePlus Nord runs on the latest Android 10 with the CustomOS skin. OnePlus is also 5G compatible and one of the affordable smartphone with 5G capability.

OnePlus Nord features a triple camera setup of 48MP primary camera and other two cameras with 16MP and 12MP lens while on the front, there is a dual punch-hole camera comprising a 32MP lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

All OnePlus smartphones come with 30W WARP charging so you see on the OnePlus NORD as well to always keep your large 4115 mAh battery charged. It can practically charge your Nord in just half an hour from 0 to 70%. The company decided to ditch the wireless charging feature in this variant.

OnePlus Nord offers almost everything you would have asked for, at a thrilling price of under Rs.30,000 segment. Literally, in the price range of 20-30k, there was not one phone you could pick without thinking twice. That is where the OnePlus Nord can come to your rescue.
