Realme 8 5G 4GB+64GB Variant Becomes The Cheapest 5G Smartphone in India
To recall, Realme 8 5G launched in India back in April. However, it is now launching another new storage variant to its lineup – a 4GB+64GB storage variant. This makes it the cheapest 5G device in India with this new launch. On the other hand, the device already has 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage options. However, the only change in the device is just storage-wise and it bears the identical specs as its previous variant does.
Furthermore, Realme 8 5G 4GB RAM + 64GB model’s sale in India will start on May 18 via Flipkart. In addition, it will be available on Realme offline and online channels. It comes in Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue colors. In terms of pricing, with the new storage configuration, the phone’s price is cheaper by Rs 1,000. This means its’ price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the new 4GB+64GB storage option.

Moreover, the company is offering 10 percent cashback of up to Rs 200 on MobiKwik payments and Rs 75 cashback with Freecharge payments. To recall, Realme 8 5G 4GB RAM+128GB variant costs Rs 14,999 whereas the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 16,999. The handset is available via the Realme website and Flipkart.
Realme 8 5G Specifications
It sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. In addition, it comes along with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It also comes with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage as standard that also supports expansion via microSD card (up to 1TB) through a dedicated slot.
The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Notably, the phone supports Dynamic RAM Expansion that increases the phone’s RAM capacity by using internal storage. Moreover, the phone runs on Android 11 with Realme UI on top.
Realme 8 5G comes with a triple camera system that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a macro lens, and a mono lens. There is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, triple card slot. Both front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording at up to 30fps. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The phone also carries a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
