The Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G is finally launched and its price and characteristics in India have been revealed. Xiaomi’s Redmi K-series returned to India after three years with the launch of the Redmi K50i. The smartphone competes against the Nothing Phone (1), OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, iQOO Neo 6 5G, and POCO F4 5G. The smartphone will be a mid-range smartphone.

The Redmi K50i has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. It has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a top-center hole-punch cutout. The display, which supports 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10, is the smartphone’s selling point.

The Redmi K50i is currently the cheapest smartphone in India, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. It supports up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone ships with a 5080 mAh battery and supports 67W quick charging.

A triple-camera arrangement is located on the back. The phone’s cameras include a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The Redmi K50i has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera sensor. The phone sports a fingerprint scanner on the side and AI Face Unlock. It comes pre-installed with Android 12-based MIUI 13.

Price In India

Base model offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is available for Rs. 25,999. The 8GB + 256GB model, on the other hand, costs Rs. 29,999. It is available in three colours: Stealth Black, Phantom Blue, and Quick Silver.

Redmi K20 Pro owners who trade in their device for the K50i can save Rs. 8,050. On July 23, 2022, the smartphone will be available for purchase on Amazon India, Mi.com and other retailers.
