    Samsung Galaxy S22 Next-Gen Snapdragon Chipset for Indian Variant

Motorola is gearing up to launch their Moto Edge X30 smartphone in China this Thursday. This will be the very first device to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Now, Samsung seems to be planning on launching their Samsung Galaxy S22 with the same chipset as well next year. However, there is a catch.

Noted tipster Tron takes to Twitter to reveal that the Indian variant of the Galaxy S22 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. As per previous reports, we know that then, the other variants of the flagship device will carry the Exynos 2200 SoC. The smartphone is expected to go official during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on February, 2022.

Going by Samsung’s history, the high-end flagship models of the Galaxy S series usually launch with flagship Exynos chipsets in India. Exynos is the brand’s very own series of chipset. However, with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22, the brand may have different plans.

Going by Tron’s leak, we do get to know that this time, the smartphone may launch with a Qualcomm chipset. In fact, to be precise, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will power the Samsung Galaxy S22. In fact, Samsung has been officially planning on launching more than sixty smartphones with Qualcomm chipsets in 2022. This further backs up the data provided by Tron.

In fact, the Samsung Exynos 2200 flagship chipset is still under wraps. However, as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has already been unveiled, there is a high chance for the leak to be true. In addition, the global chip shortage is still not looking good and could ultimately have led to Samsung going all in on Qualcomm chipsets. Only time will reveal the reality and for now, this is all that is known about the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone.
