Motorola Moto Edge X30 Design
The Motorola Moto Edge X30 is a stylish smartphone with a modern design. The Motorola Moto Edge X30 comes with a typical hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera on the ordinary edition of the device. The special edition, on the other hand, does away with the punch hole completely in favour of an under-display camera. The resolution of the camera and the size of the sensor are the same in both models.
There is no fingerprint scanner under the display on the Moto Edge X30, however, a side-mounted sensor is used. Power and volume rocker buttons are situated precisely next to this scanner. The dual-SIM phone does not include a microSD card slot or a 3.5mm headphone jack. At 194 grams, it is quite hefty, but stereo speakers are included.
The Motorola Moto Edge X30’s back panel includes a triple-camera array encased in a bigger vertical camera cutout. Also included is an LED flash for low-light photography. There are two colour options for the Moto Edge X30 in China including the Phantom Black and Glacier Blue.
Motorola Moto Edge X30 Display
In addition to its stylish design, the Moto Edge X30 is equipped with a huge 6.7-inch P-OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. HDR10+ compatibility is provided by this panel, which supports variable refresh rates (up to 144Hz). The phone, according to Motorola, has a maximum brightness of 700 nits.
Motorola Moto Edge X30 Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, which is the latest version, is without a doubt the most notable feature of the Moto Edge X30. When compared to the previous generation CPU, the new processor provides a 20% improvement in performance. The Motorola Moto Edge X30 is available in a variety of RAM and storage combinations, and it is compatible with the LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 standards.
With regard to the software, the Moto Edge X30 is powered by Motorola’s MYUI 3.0 skin, which is based on Android 12. This makes it the first non-Google phone to be released with Android 12. Despite the fact that it is powered by a flagship-grade chipset, the Motorola Moto Edge X30 is classified as an upper-midrange smartphone in China due to the price group in which it is sold.
Motorola Moto Edge X30 Camera
The primary camera of the Motorola Moto Edge X30 is equipped with an OmniVision sensor with a resolution of 50MP. This camera is equipped with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and can record video in native 8K resolution. The secondary camera is equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL sensor with a resolution of 50MP and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The third camera sensor is a quirky 2MP depth sensor that serves no use.
The Motorola Moto Edge X30 is equipped with a 60-megapixel selfie camera with a 1/2.8-inch sensor on the front. In the standard model, the camera is located behind a hole-punch cutout, however, in the special edition model, the camera is housed beneath the display.
Motorola Moto Edge X30 Battery
To ensure long-lasting battery life, the Edge 30 is equipped with a built-in 5000mAh super-capacity battery that is also capable of 68W rapid charging, which can recharge 50% of the battery in as little as 13 minutes.
