Samsung has officially started the One UI 8.5 stable rollout after months of beta testing. The latest software update is based on Android 16 QPR2 and first arrived for the Galaxy S25 lineup. The company is now quickly expanding the update to more premium Galaxy devices.
The One UI 8.5 stable rollout is important for Samsung users because it brings performance improvements, better stability, smoother animations, and updated system features. Samsung had delayed the stable release longer than expected, but the company now appears ready to speed up deployment across eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
South Korea is the first market receiving the stable update. Users in other regions are expected to get the software within the next few days.
Galaxy Devices Receiving One UI 8.5 Stable Rollout
Samsung has already pushed the stable One UI 8.5 update to several flagship devices. The rollout started with the Galaxy S25 series and quickly expanded to foldable phones and the Fan Edition model.

Samsung is expected to add more Galaxy smartphones and tablets to the rollout list in the coming weeks.
Samsung Took Longer Than Expected
The One UI 8.5 stable rollout arrived later than many users expected. Samsung launched the beta testing program for the Galaxy S25 series in December 2025. Over the next five months, the company released around ten beta versions before finally pushing the stable build.
Usually, Samsung releases only four or five beta updates before the stable launch. This longer testing period suggests the company focused heavily on optimization and bug fixes before the final release.
Now that the stable rollout has begun, Samsung seems to be moving faster. The update reached seven Galaxy devices on the very first day of release. This gives hope that more eligible Galaxy phones and tablets will receive One UI 8.5 without long delays.
