    About the Phone

OnePlus 6T is a design marvel with a dew-drop notch and almost invisible bezels. With a top-of-the-line Snapdragon processor and 6GB RAM, this phone will give you no trouble when it comes to handling application and performance. The loss of the headphone jack is a controversial move, but in line with the ongoing trend today.

One of the major improvements in this model is the addition of a whopping 3,700 mAh battery that keeps you running through the day. With OnePlus’ fast charging feature, it promises a phone that you don’t have to keep attached to a switchboard all the time. However, unlike the recent competitive models, it doesn’t come with the wireless charging feature, which might take away your joy a little.

When it comes to the camera, while there hasn’t been any improvement in specifications, One Plus has added a new camera mode. Now you can compete with all flagship phones with low-light photography features. While it may not top the Pixel 3, paired with its inbuilt AI, this improved feature can produce crisp images for your low-light picture collection.

Above everything, it comes at an affordable range, with all the latest Android software features and battery-saving capabilities. If you have been looking for an all-round improvement of phone features, this is your go-to set.

While it might seem like a brave move to release a new phone when the previous model has set a benchmark, OnePlus isn’t scared of stepping up its game even further. With the new OnePlus 6T, they have come up with major improvements in the phone battery and added a new camera mode that puts it at a more even footing with the recent flagship camera-heavy phone releases.  Though most of the specs remain the same as OnePlus 6, this is definitely a major advancement and makes it clear that OnePlus is not backing down. Priced at Rs 37,999, OnePlus 6T has very robust features and can hold its own against most other flagship phones. With a killer battery that can last for a day, the front-facing camera of this set is one of the best under the Rs. 40,000 line up. It comes with the recent Android Pie, with a layer of OxygenOS that makes it super easy to operate.

    OnePlus 6T Price in India

Oneplus 6T is a stunning smartphone from the brand in the upper mid-range segment offering near to flagship features. Oneplus 6T launched in the month of October 2019. OnePlus 6T price in India starts from Rs.37,999/-, which is for 6GB + 128GB internal storage variants. It’s another variant is 8GB + 128GB internal storage, which is available at Rs.41,999 and Rs.45,999 for 8 GB+ 256 GB internal storage variant. Moreover, OnePlus 6T smartphone is available in two different colours which are Mirror Black and Midnight Black.

While 6T doesn’t go for major innovations, it gets an edge with its dew-drop notch with a single camera, beating the notch-bearers Huawei and LG. The matte Midnight Black model stands out among the glossy designs of current flagships sets.

While the overall dimensions have remained the same, OnePlus have also thinned the top and bottom bezels, making an aesthetic statement. Unfortunately, it has done away with the headphone jack, making it fall in the same line as Huawei and the recent collective move towards this controversial design.

With a 6.41-inch AMOLED panel, this set has an aspect ratio of 19.6:9. Thankfully, it doesn’t feel that large due to the 85.6% screen to body ratio. In brightness and colour sharpness, it beats Pixel (401 nits) by going ahead to 405 nits. However, 6T’s OLED display is a bit dimmer compared to iPhone XS Max and Galaxy Note 9.

The phone comes with a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. It can handle any apps thrown at it and multitasking is a breeze. Plus, you can even run modern games in it at high settings and get seamless frame rates.

OnePlus 6T comes with the latest Android Pie but it pairs it up with OxygenOS. This comes with the access to the app drawer, minimal bloatware and seamless gesture control. OnePlus also says that they have included a feature called Smart Boost – which stores data from frequently used apps, making them much faster to access. However, the claim is that it makes it go about 15-20% faster, which is hardly noticeable. With the gesture section, you can assign offscreen actions for any task – like double-clicking the screen to lock the phone. The software just makes it all so easy!

Plus, it cuts down the battery use by understanding the seldom used applications and directing juice away from them.

For security purposes, it comes with a fingerprint sensor which works amazingly fast and opens as fast as within 0.34 seconds as per OnePlus!

With the same camera specifications at OnePlus 6, the company went for introducing a new mode – Nightscape. This is an amazing advancement made for low-light photography. It lowers the shutter speed and ISO and thus captures as much light as possible. With the help of the inbuilt AI, this device can produce crisp, low-light images. Though, this falls behind Huawei P20 and Pixel’s Night Sight by a large margin.

The front camera has a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, which is one of the best in this range. While it may not take in as many details as Pixel 3, One Plus collects enough visual information to make your selfies look good. For its price range, it has amazing video stabilization, great 4K videos and can produce wonderful, crisp images. Best part, your selfies don’t make you look artificial.

OnePlus 6 held enough juice but 6T chooses to give it a boost by adding an astonishing 3,700 mAh battery. This will easily last a day and maybe more, depending on the type of your use. After running a 90-minute HD video with the brightness maxed-out, the set lost only 10% of the battery, a major advancement over the 15% loss in OnePlus 6. Above this juiced-up battery, there is OnePlus’ fast charging which just makes you jump back to your phones without delay. The OnePlus software also saves battery by tracking apps which use up too much juice. The ‘Adaptive Battery’ feature limits battery use in the least-used apps. So be assured, your phone isn’t dying that easily.

However, despite having a glass cover, the company went for dash charge and not for wireless charging. This cost-cutting method may put them on the back seat against the standard wireless charging in all competing flagship designs.

OnePlus 6T is a definite improvement over the previous OnePlus 6. Within 6 months, the company has installed a giant battery and has added an amazing mode to compete with the recent drive for low-light photography. The software is user-friendly and fluid, and OnePlus makes the phone’s design stand out by keeping the notch to a minimal. While the images may not have the sharpness of Pixel 3, within the price range – OnePlus 6T is still a great set. If you are looking for an improvement to your OnePlus 6 – you wouldn’t go wrong with this.
