With so many leaks flooding the internet, we finally saw an official launch of Oppo’s latest flagship smartphone Oppo Ace 2 in China today. The device came out to be pretty exciting with updated and refined design and features.

Oppo Ace 2 Specifications

The Oppo Ace 2 is a flagship device so you can expect all the mightiness and premium feel from the device. It brings the trendy punch-hole display design, thus offering a complete bezel less panel. We get to see a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels resolution) punch-hole AMOLED display boasting an upgraded 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The panel with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio offers a quality which is pretty much the same as its predecessor and we also get HDR10+ support along with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. We also get an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is quite good.

The powertrain is pretty impressive, with all the powerful members teaming under the hood. The first one is obviously the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC topped with 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. We also get 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. The storage isn’t expandable, but this is what it is. The device gets ColorOS 7.1 which runs on top of Android 10.0.

Optics, as we can expect, are pretty much in the spotlight. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor residing in the punch-hole at the top-left corner. The rear camera setup gets refreshed as it now houses in a circular fashion, just like we have seen on the OnePlus 7T. The quad-camera setup includes a 48MP primary camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree FOV. Accompanying these two is a 2MP mono lens along with a 2MP depth sensor.

Battery department now boasts wireless and reverse wireless charging support along with a 4000 mAh battery juicing up the device. There is also support for 10W wireless reverse charging, 40W AirVOOC wireless charging and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging.
