- It comes with AMOLED screen and beautiful punchy colors added to its display.
- The body-to-screen ratio is quite good and gives adequate screen space.

- The Oppo R15x arrives with a beautiful selfie camera.
- It does not come with the new USB Type-C port but rather with the older Micro USB port.
- Oppo R15x is fitted with a weak processor which tends to lag when it comes to multitasking and gaming.
- The Oppo R15x has a weak battery which can pass a day with light use.
- The camera set does not perform well when the lights are dimmed out.
Oppo amazes the users yet again with its incredible Selfie camera. However, this time it comes packed in a strong case and paired with a bright display. However, the phone still looks dated due to its poor camera. If you are looking for a gaming phone, then this is not the device to go for. Otherwise, the Oppo R15x is an excellent set for selfie enthusiasts.
The Selfie Expert Oppo strikes again with its fascinating mid-range Oppo R15x. Priced at Rs. 26,999, this phone looks adequate to keep up the Selfie Expert tag of Oppo. Moreover, it provides a great user experience as well.
The Oppo R15x can stun its user with its colorful display and one-of-a-kind selfie camera. However, it disappoints due to its poor performance and average battery. It can be an excellent phone for Instagram enthusiasts looking forward to clicking selfies and uploading it on their profile.
Oppo R15x is constructed with both metal and glass. The construction is quite sturdy due to the addition of the metal, and the glass makes it look quite premium. Plus, it is quite comfortable to hold and manage with one hand. One of the problems with this set is that you do not get water-resistance.
However, the phone retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack, a feature that is getting removed from many flagship mobiles and so, this phone provides a nostalgic touch. However, it does not include the new USB Type-C port but the MicroUSB port, making it a bit dated.
The Oppo R15x comes with 6.4 inches AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It has the current aspect ratio of 19:9 and a pixel density of 403 PPI. It means that you get sharper colors and deep blacks due to the presence of the AMOLED screen.
The contrast is fair, and you get accurate color distribution across the screen. The aspect ratio gives you an immersive experience as well. Regarding the screen-to-body ratio, the phone limits the screen size getting about 91% which is quite enough screen space for working. You also get a 2.5D curved glass which makes the phone scratch resistant.
The Oppo R15x is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 MSM8976 Plus chipset which is an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with the GPU Adreno 512. It is a dated processor and does not fare well when compared to the current Snapdragon 800 series.
Multitasking can be smooth, and it can switch between apps without a lag. The poor performance of the processor becomes apparent when it comes to gaming. During gaming, casual games can run quite smoothly, and there are minimal frame drops that may not even be noticeable.
However, you cannot run heavy games properly. Even in low settings, heavy games start to falter, and there are frame drops that affect gameplay. On benchmarking, it scores a decent 5516.
Oppo R15x comes with a beautiful 16 MP camera alongside with a 2 MP dual LED camera with f/1.7 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. It comes with a host of features like autofocus, continuous shooting, digital exposure, ISO settings, HDR, face detection, and panorama mode. In ideal light conditions, the camera clicks beautiful pictures which consist of plenty of details and produces accurate colors.
However, when the lights go dim, the camera starts to perform terribly. The photos appear grainy, and there is visible noise that gets captured. The selfie camera is a whopping 25MP with an f/2.0 aperture. It clicks clear pictures that capture accurate details of your face in ideal light conditions.
While the quality does lower to a great extent in low-light conditions, the daylight shots will steal your heart. It is a perfect Selfie Expert front camera.
Oppo R15x comes with a massive 3600 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It is a good battery that lasts long enough. With light to moderate use, you can make the phone chug throughout the day. Plus, it comes with fast charging technology and so, it will get from 0% to 100% in about 2 hours.
Oppo R15x is an attractive model with sound engineering implemented on it. It comes with a beautiful display and an eye-catching premium design. Plus, the massive battery makes it a long-lasting phone. However, the performance is a bit dated with the Snapdragon 600 series. Plus, the rear camera is just decent. One of the best things about the phone is the marvelous Selfie camera.
However, if you are looking for a power-packer but are willing to lose on a great design and AMOLED display, then the Pocophone F1 is a cheaper handset to go for with Snapdragon 800 series powering it.
