The Reno6 series, which comprises the Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+, was recently introduced in China. The new smartphone lineup is the successor to the Reno 5 series, which was launched last year. Reno6 is almost guaranteed to come in India, given the popularity of the Reno5 lineup.
Speaking of the Oppo Reno6 Pro+, the smartphone belongs to the premium-range category and boasts a powerful Snapdragon chipset for making this a 5G device, an upgraded camera setup and carries other interesting specs as well, that we’re going to cover in this detailed review. So, let’s get started with the Oppo Reno6 Pro+, which was launched by Oppo on the 27th of May.
Oppo Reno6 Pro Plus Price in India
Oppo has released the Reno6 Pro+ priced CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 45,500) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option and CNY 4,499 (approximately Rs 51,200) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option. Oppo Reno6 series will be available in India sometime in July, according to rumours. The actual pricing will be updated once, Oppo launches the Oppo Reno6 Pro+ here.
In terms of design, Oppo Reno6 Pro+ seems quite premium, particularly the camera module and the absence of any pattern on the backside. Because the back panel is curved around the sides, you’ll have a great grip, and the whole weight is only 188 grammes, the Oppo Reno6 Pro+ is exceptionally compact. The gradient colour pattern of the Oppo Reno6 Pro+ distinguishes it.
The only difference between the Oppo Reno6 and the Pro+ version is that the Pro edition’s display is entirely curved, which looks fantastic, and there’s a little punch-hole for the selfie camera in the upper left corner. The display has no bezels, which is a plus, and the chin is practically undetectable.
There is a fast fingerprint sensor under the display for unlocking the smartphone. The bottom side has the bottom-firing speaker, as well as the Type-C charging connector, microphone, and SIM tray, while the right edge has the power button and volume rocker. In terms of build quality, the Oppo Reno6 Pro+ is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Glass makes up the back panel, while aluminium makes up the frame.
Oppo Reno6 Pro+ display measures 6.55 inches and has an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, as well as a 402PPI pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In addition, the display supports the DCI P3 colour gamut, which is something I really enjoyed about it. Under direct sunshine, the average brightness of 500 nits makes the entire experience bearable. The Oppo Reno6 Pro+ has a fantastic display.
As for the performance, Oppo has installed the latest chipset from Qualcomm, which is the Snapdragon 870 processor. You’ll be able to play games at high graphic settings and for day to day usage, this smartphone is a breeze. The performance will be around somewhat the same as in the Oppo Reno6 Pro, which has the MediaTek 1200 SoC. Oppo has laid down Android 11 here with ColorOS 11.3 skin on top. The device supports 5G and there is 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage available in this device.
Camera-wise, the Oppo Reno6 Pro+ is not going to disappoint you. You have been provided with all the sensors as per your requirement. Furthermore, the rear camera on the Pro+6 version is more upgraded You are getting a Quad-camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 13MP hybrid optical zoom sensor and a 2MP macro sensor.
Speaking of selfies, here also, you have been provided with a 32MP selfie camera, which I liked about the camera section. Because, I have often seen in most of the Pro+ variants that in order to enhance the rear camera, they strip down the selfie camera to 16MP, which is not the case here.
When it comes to the battery, you get a 4500 mAh battery in Oppo Reno6 Pro Plus that supports 65W rapid charging. The 4500 mAh battery is sufficient for a single day of use, and if the battery runs out throughout the day, the 65W fast charger is capable of quickly charging the battery and allowing you to resume your work. The charger can be connected through a Type-C charging port. There is no wireless charging, though.
Oppo Reno6 Pro+ is an excellent pick if you’re looking for a phone with a lot of photographic options. Customers can maintain a range of files and folders on the company’s restricted yet substantial internal storage, which allows them to retain a variety of files and folders as needed. Long-term usage is ensured with a stable battery choice and 65W Super Flash Charging. Furthermore, the processor and display are both capable of delivering outstanding results.
