Samsung’s latest entrant to the majestic M-series sports a few distinct features. The Samsung Galaxy M31s is officially unveiled in India and will go on sale on August 6. It delivers the first-ever Super AMOLED Infinity-O display on any M-series phone as well as a 25W fast charger, a 64MP IMX682 sensor and a gigantic 6,000 mAh battery that keeps the juice flowing for hours on end without needing to charge it up repeatedly. The battery life of the Galaxy M31s is outstanding, as we were able to use it for more than two days. The Galaxy M31s features a quad-camera configuration on the rear, including a 64-megapixel main camera.

About the Mobile Phone

Samsung Galaxy M31s Pros & Cons

The Samsung Galaxy M31s is the Galaxy M31’s successor, and it introduces new features to the sector. The Galaxy M31s has a 6.5-inch Infinity-O AMOLED display with a central hole-punch. This phone, like the Galaxy M31, has a large 6,000mAh battery, but this time Samsung has included a 25w charger in the package.
On the Galaxy M31s, Samsung has also included a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone features a “Glasstic” back that appears to be made of glass but is really made of plastic. It is a fingerprint magnet that quickly gathers up fingerprints. On top of Android 10, the phone runs OneUI 2.1. The Galaxy M31s comes with a significant amount of bloatware preloaded.

Samsung Galaxy M31s Price in India

Samsung Galaxy M31S is available in India at a price tag of Rs 20,499/- which is for its base 6GB variant. The higher 8GB variant carries a price tag of Rs 22,499/- on Samsung India. The price tag for Amazon India is Rs 19,499/- and Rs 21,499/- respectively. There are two colour choices to choose which include Mirage Black and Mirage Blue. About the availability, the phone will go on sale on August 6 via Amazon India and Samsung’s website. It is launching on Amazon India on the August 6th Prime Day Sale.

Samsung Galaxy M31s has too many firsts to mention. One of the things that will surely impress the masses is its premium gradient design that looks lustrous. Available in two vivid colours, the phone looks pretty premium from both sides. Its front has sleek bezels with a punch-hole cutout; while the back is distraction-free with just a rectangular camera bump and Samsung’s branding on top. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the right and a textured volume rocker just above the FPS.

The Galaxy M31s has a monstrous display at 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display that offers a fully immersive viewing experience. It has a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and offers a screen ratio of more than 91% without any notch that could hamper your experience. Instead, it uses a tiny punch-hole right in the middle. The display produces peak brightness of 420 nits and overall, the display is vivid and looks stunning with greater resolution than Samsung AMOLED panels are known for. One feature that still remains missing is a higher refresh rate on the display.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s packs in a blazing-fast processor aka MonsterProcessor. It uses Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9611 octa-core chipset clocked at a whopping 2.3GHz max frequency. It has a 10nm architecture that gives it an edge over chipsets manufactured using 11nm and above nodes. It comes along with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It can be further expanded to 512GB using a dedicated memory card slot. It runs on Android 10-based OneUI 2.1 which is the latest and thus, promises the reception to Android 11 as well.

The device is strapped with an L-shaped quad-camera setup that houses a 64MP IMX 682 Intelli-Cam sensor that grabs stunning photos and videos retaining all details to the fullest. There’s a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor to capture ultra-wide selfies at 123° which is even greater than Vivo X50. The macro sensor takes exceptional shots of tiny subjects from a distance of barely 3 to 5 cms and finally, there’s a 5MP depth sensor for collecting depth-related information. It supports multiple modes including Smart Crop, Original Video, Hyperlapse, Boomerang, Single Take, and others. The front has a 32MP selfie shooter that grabs quality photos and videos with bokeh effect mode as well.

Samsung Galaxy M31s packs in a giant 6,000 mAh battery that it is marketing as MonsterPunch. The battery is capable of offering up to 125 hours of music playback, 27 hours of continuous video playback, and 22 hours of internal usage. It comes along with a 25W Fast Charger that juices up the battery to its full capacity in just 97 minutes. Plus, there’s reverse charging that enables users to charge other devices using Type-C to Type-C cable.

A great buy if you are looking for a trusted brand and a mix of quality hardware and specs, Galaxy M31s is the successor to M30 and does offer considerable upgrades no doubt. It has the latest OS onboard which is optimized for one-hand use; while the rich display does take you off your feet. Not forget to mention is the first-ever Super AMOLED Infinity-O panel on an M-series phone. It has all the stuff you need and falls right in your budget.
