The Japanese manufacturer of smartphones Sharp isn’t known for producing hundreds of phones per year, but some of its offerings are out of the ordinary. Apart from Japan, the brand hasn’t been in the headlines recently because it only sells smartphones in a few countries. Sharp has just released its new flagship model, the Aquos R6. This handset, like those from the brand, features many firsts, such as a giant 1-inch lens – the largest camera sensor on any phone. Interestingly, the Aquos R6 has a single camera module, as opposed to most current phones, which have multiple camera setups. Not only this, there are various other surprising features as well. Here is a brief review of this newly launched flagship device from the Sharp brand.

Sharp Aquos R6 Price in India

Sharp Aquos R6 comes in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There are currently no pricing details available for the Sharp Aquos R6, which is a flagship smartphone. However, we expect the phone to be available in black and white in Japan after mid-June. It’s uncertain if the phone would be available on a global scale. Once there will be any update regarding its global launch, the Sharp Aquos R6 price in India will be updated accordingly.

The display of Sharp Aquos R6 is equipped with cutting-edge technology. There is a 6.6-inch OLED screen with WUXGA+ resolution and 240Hz Hz refresh rate, which can be adjusted depending on the situation. You can also reduce the refresh rate to 1Hz, which saves a lot of battery life. With an overall brightness of 2,000nits, Sharp claims that the display to be the brightest of all the devices available in the market.

Sharp AQUOS R6 Smartphone’s other specifications are also on par with those of a flagship device. The Snapdragon 888 5G chip is included in the handset. It has a memory of 12 GB and a storage capacity of 128 GB. There’s even a microSD card slot for additional storage. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6. It comes preinstalled with Android 11. As for the multimedia, there are dual speakers installed in the device.

The AQUOS R6 features the world’s first 1-inch Leica-enabled main camera and is the first that you will notice in this smartphone. The main camera comprises a 20MP 1-inch sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and a 19mm equivalent focal length. It can gather a lot of light and take simple images in low-light situations. In addition, a ToF sensor is used for aiming. The phone’s front features a punch-hole style. A 12MP camera with an f/2.3 aperture is housed in the hole.

Under the hood, a 5,000mAh battery with Intelligent Charge 2.0 support powers the large display and powerful processor.  The lithium-polymer (Li-Po) battery is a rechargeable, thin, lightweight battery. There is no requirement for a periodic discharge, and charging can be performed at any time. For connecting the charger, the device comes with a Type-C charging port.

The giant one-inch image sensor on the phone’s rear is the central focus of Sharp’s latest flagship phone. Sharp Aquos R6 is the first smartphone with such a big sensor, and it could become one of the go-to phones for anyone serious about smartphone photography. Apart from that, there is a powerful processor, enough RAM and storage, out of the box OS and a massive 5000 mAh battery along with a unique and sturdy design. So, if you are looking for a flagship smartphone with all these features, then you must wait for its global launch.
