Xiaomi 11T Pro Launch in India 

Another Chinese company’s smartphone in India has lost its ‘Mi’ moniker, this time in the form of the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The 11T Pro premium smartphone was launched in India around 4 months after it was announced globally. It has high-end hardware with a priority on performance and rapid 120W charging. In addition to the 108-megapixel main camera and other photo-centric features, Xiaomi is positioning the phone as a camera-centric smartphone. Let’s take a closer look at this high-end device.

Xiaomi 11T Pro price in India 

The basic 8GB + 128GB storage version of the Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G costs Rs. 39,999 in India. The 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs. 41,999, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 43,999.  The Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G will be available in the nation beginning at 2 pm on Wednesday in Celestial Magic, Meteorite Gray, and Moonlight White. Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home shops, Mi Studios, and other offline merchants will be able to sell it.

Customers who purchase the Xiaomi 11T Pro using Citi cards and EMI options will get a discount of Rs. 5,000 at the time of purchase. Additional exchange discounts of up to Rs. 5,000 are also available for the phone.

Xiaomi 11T Pro  Design 

In terms of design, the Xiaomi 11T Pro may not be the most distinctive device out there. With its large screen and thick bezels, it’s a huge phone that may be uncomfortable for certain users. The fingerprint sensor sits on the right edge of the phone, barely out of reach for some. The volume rocker is located just above the fingerprint scanner. Users who prefer wired audio will require an adapter to connect their headphones to the device since it only has a USB-C connection and no 3.5mm headphone socket. 

The camera hump on the rear is considerably less pronounced than on the Mi 10T Pro, which made the 2020 phone seem like a mountain. There are a few drawbacks to this handset’s backside, including the fact that it’s a fingerprint magnet. Holding and using the smartphone for an extended period will transform the smooth plastic back into a mosaic of smudge.

Xiaomi 11T Pro Display 

There’s no denying that the Xiaomi 11T Pro’s screen is a step backwards from the Mi 11, but that doesn’t mean it’s terrible. The Mi 11’s screen was one of the phone’s main selling points, while Xiaomi seems to be concentrating on the 11T Pro’s cameras. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, which is somewhat smaller than the Mi 11’s 6.81-inch screen. However, Mi 11 phones have an even higher resolution of 3200 x 1440 than the 2400 x 1080 seen on Xiaomi 11T pro. The device features a 120Hz refresh rate, which is the same as the Mi 11, although it falls short of the 144Hz of the Mi 10T series.

Xiaomi 11T Pro Performance 

The Snapdragon 888 chipset powers the Xiaomi 11T Pro, which means it’s not the fastest 5G Android chip available (the Plus version was launched before this phone), but it’s still a strong CPU that should make the phone responsive to use and excellent for gaming. The Xiaomi 11T Pro boasts 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is more than enough for both gaming and multitasking. 

The 11T Pro, like other Xiaomi phones, runs MIUI on top of Android. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 11, and it’s expected to get security upgrades over the next several years. 

Xiaomi 11T Pro Camera 

When it comes to the back cameras, the Xiaomi 11T Pro inherits those of its sibling Mi 11i, but we’ve seen this trio previously on the Mi 11 and even on the Redmi Note 10 Pro, although with a higher-resolution ultrawide lens. It’s worth noting that the 11T Pro has three cameras, including the main one with 108MP resolution with Night Mode support, a wide-angle one with 8MP resolution, and a telemacro one with 5MP resolution. There’s also a little LED flash on hand. Besides 8K recording at 30 frames per second, the Xiaomi 11T Pro’s primary camera can also record 4K and 1080p at 30 and 60 frames per second respectively.

A 16MP sensor with a Quad-Bayer filter power the selfie camera. The sensor is hidden behind a fixed-focus lens with an aperture of f/2.4.

While the battery life of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro was one of its finest aspects, the 11T Pro takes after the Mi 11 rather than its year-older cousin since the battery life isn’t spectacular. That’s surprising considering the phone’s 5,000mAh battery, which is very large for a phone.  All the more reason to appreciate the Xiaomi 11T Pro’s ultra-fast wired charging capability of 120W. According to Xiaomi, charging the phone from empty to full takes 17 minutes when using the included charger.
