    About the Mobile Phone

The Redmi Note 10S is a little more powerful variant of the Redmi Note 10, yet both smartphones appear to be similar. It sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display and a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. The Redmi Note 10S boasts dual speakers and an infrared emitter, both of which are uncommon in low-cost smartphones.
The Note 10S is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor and 6GB of RAM, with storage choices ranging from 64GB to 128GB. It is powered on MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11. It comes come with a slew of preloaded applications that occasionally send out obnoxious alerts. The Note 10S includes a 5,000mAh battery and a 33W charger included in the package.
On the Redmi Note 10S, Xiaomi has a quad-camera configuration with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The daytime images were adequate but oversharpened, and distant objects seemed blotchy. Close-up and macro photographs did better. Low-light photographs were flat and grainy, but Night mode improved them slightly. Overall, the Redmi Note 10S is preferable than the Redmi Note 10 due to its superior performance.

    Pros

    • 64MP Quad-rear camera

    • Multifunctional NFC
    • Side-mounted fingerprint sensor
    • Ip53 dust and water resistance
    • Gorilla Glass protection
    • Dual Stereo speakers

    Cons

    • NO 5G connectivity
    • Normal refresh rate
    • Heating issues during gaming

Redmi Note 10S is finally here in India. The Redmi Note 10S is the only device from the Note 10 series with 4G only and features some of the features matching the Redmi Note 10, which is already available in the Indian smartphone market. This time Xiaomi has gone with the MediaTek chipset along with an improved camera setup. The Redmi Note 10S features a large 5000 mAh battery along with more fast-charging compatibility and scores well in the display and sections. Here is a brief review of the Redmi Note 10S, check it out before making your mind to purchase this device.

Redmi Note 10S Price in India

This is one of the affordable smartphones from Xiaomi nd comes in multiple storage options including 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. As for the pricing and availability, the Redmi Note 10S price for the 6GB RAM variant is Rs. 14,999 and for the 8GB RAM variant, the price is Rs. 15,999. The smartphone is going to be available on Amazon for sale from the 18th of May. You can choose from multiple colours including Deep Sea Blue, Frost White and Shadow Black.

There are two things that we liked more in terms of the design of the Redmi Note 10S. The first one is the minimum sized punch-hole on the front for housing the selfie camera, which is so small that it won’t disrupt the visual experience. The second one is the in-hand feel. The Redmi Note 10S features 178 grams of weight irrespective of the 5000 mAh battery inside and features a lightweight design. You can easily hold it single-handedly.

Since the rear panel is made of glass with curved edges, it’s going to attract more fingerprints. So, using a back cover is necessary here. The bezels are very minimum bezels on the front with a very small chin at the bottom, while the rectangular shaped camera module on the back looks quite attractive. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 10S comes with Ip53 dust and water resistance.

If you are looking for a refresh rate, then this is not the display that you are looking for. However, given the price, the Redmi Note 10S display features quite an interesting configuration including a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection. The other features include 1100nits of peak brightness, 8-bit colour, DCI-P3, Sunlight mode 2.0, Reading Mode 3.0 and Low blue light certified by SGS.

Redmi Note 10S comes powered by the MediaTek G95 chipset along with ARM Mali G76 MC4 GPU. For average gaming, this processor is good and will work very nicely along with 8GB RAM and 128G internal storage. However, while playing the games at higher graphics settings, the heating issues are going to be there.

As for the operating system, Redmi Note 10S runs on the MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and comes with dual stereo speakers for an enhanced multimedia experience.

The camera section is the major exhibition area of the Redmi Note 10S. As the banner on the Amazon indicates, there is a 64MP Quad-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 64MP main sensor, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro camera and a 2Mp depth sensor. on the front, the Redmi Note 10S features a 13Mp selfie camera. The camera section features optimized software for producing quality pictures with both low and good lighting conditions.

Some of the photography and video features include 64MP mode, Night mode, AI Beautify, AI Portrait Mode with bokeh and depth control along with video macro mode, Pro time-lapse, Slow motion and you can record 1080 pixel videos at 30fps.

Here the battery is enough to provide at least two days of battery back up on normal usage. Redmi Note 10S comes with a large 5000 mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, which is quite amazing at the given price point. There is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger with the device.

If you are looking for an affordable range smartphone with enough RAM, a good display, a decent processor along with a price worthy camera setup and a large battery with enough fast charging support, Redmi Note 10S is for you. However, if you are into heavy gaming and you wish to have a 5G device, which is the current trend and looking for a quick display with a higher display, then there are other options available in the market, however, those come with higher price tags.
