There are two things that we liked more in terms of the design of the Redmi Note 10S. The first one is the minimum sized punch-hole on the front for housing the selfie camera, which is so small that it won’t disrupt the visual experience. The second one is the in-hand feel. The Redmi Note 10S features 178 grams of weight irrespective of the 5000 mAh battery inside and features a lightweight design. You can easily hold it single-handedly.
Since the rear panel is made of glass with curved edges, it’s going to attract more fingerprints. So, using a back cover is necessary here. The bezels are very minimum bezels on the front with a very small chin at the bottom, while the rectangular shaped camera module on the back looks quite attractive. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 10S comes with Ip53 dust and water resistance.
If you are looking for a refresh rate, then this is not the display that you are looking for. However, given the price, the Redmi Note 10S display features quite an interesting configuration including a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection. The other features include 1100nits of peak brightness, 8-bit colour, DCI-P3, Sunlight mode 2.0, Reading Mode 3.0 and Low blue light certified by SGS.
Redmi Note 10S comes powered by the MediaTek G95 chipset along with ARM Mali G76 MC4 GPU. For average gaming, this processor is good and will work very nicely along with 8GB RAM and 128G internal storage. However, while playing the games at higher graphics settings, the heating issues are going to be there.
As for the operating system, Redmi Note 10S runs on the MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and comes with dual stereo speakers for an enhanced multimedia experience.
The camera section is the major exhibition area of the Redmi Note 10S. As the banner on the Amazon indicates, there is a 64MP Quad-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 64MP main sensor, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro camera and a 2Mp depth sensor. on the front, the Redmi Note 10S features a 13Mp selfie camera. The camera section features optimized software for producing quality pictures with both low and good lighting conditions.
Some of the photography and video features include 64MP mode, Night mode, AI Beautify, AI Portrait Mode with bokeh and depth control along with video macro mode, Pro time-lapse, Slow motion and you can record 1080 pixel videos at 30fps.
Here the battery is enough to provide at least two days of battery back up on normal usage. Redmi Note 10S comes with a large 5000 mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, which is quite amazing at the given price point. There is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger with the device.
If you are looking for an affordable range smartphone with enough RAM, a good display, a decent processor along with a price worthy camera setup and a large battery with enough fast charging support, Redmi Note 10S is for you. However, if you are into heavy gaming and you wish to have a 5G device, which is the current trend and looking for a quick display with a higher display, then there are other options available in the market, however, those come with higher price tags.
