ZTE Axon 30 Ultra

ZTE AXON 30 ULtra 5G has been officially launched in the Chinese smartphone market to serve the flagship category with some superb features. The latest smartphone from the ZTE brand comes with a powerful processor and features the superfast 5G technology, stylish design, faster display and much more. For now, there is no information about its availability in India and before it happens, let’s take a look at what the ZTE brand is offering in this device. 

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G Price in India 

There are two storage options for the smartphone. The base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs $749 / €620, or around Rs.54,200. A 12GB + 256GB model is also available for $849/ €699 (roughly Rs 62,231). ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is likely to be priced at around Rs.53,990 in India. The device comes in Black colour. 

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G design is a very captivating one with a plain coloured back and an interestingly placed quad camera setup. On the front, we have the 6.67-inch AMOLED curved display with the selfie camera housed inside the punch-hole at the top centre. The volume and power buttons are placed on the right side of the device. The loudspeaker, the USB Type-C port, and the primary microphone along with the SIM tray (with no dedicated slot for the microSD card) are placed on the bottom side of the phone while the secondary microphone is placed on the top. The phone weighs in at 188g and is made of Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back with an aluminium frame. There is no dust and waterproofing here.   

With a slim and small form factor for a big display smartphone, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra feels wonderful in the hand and fits easily in the front pocket. The glass has a matte texture, and the design is stunning.

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED flexible curved screen with 1080 by 2400 pixel resolution making this an FHD+ display. The screen is of 20:9 ratio making this a tall display and sports a DCI P3 colour gamut. The screen itself has a 144Hz refresh rate which is brilliant especially for gaming enthusiasts. Also, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G display comes with Eye comfort mode, which adds more to the overall aesthetics. 

Powering the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor having an octa-core design and built on the 11nm process, this can clock up to 2.0GHz under heavy loads. We have 256GB internal storage and 12GB of RAM for the storage and memory solutions, which is more than enough for an average user. The storage can’t be expanded here as the microSD card slot isn’t available in this device. There won’t be any complaint while playing games at higher graphics settings with 144Hz refresh rate, linear motors and a state-of-the-art liquid cooling system. 

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G runs on Android 11 with MyOS11 custom skin on top of it. Also, the connectivity feature includes the superfast 5G connectivity. The sound system is also superb here for making the multimedia experience better. 

The camera department on the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is handled by the quad-camera setup on the back and a single camera on the front. The rear camera setup includes a 64MP wide main sensor, a 64MP ultra-wide sensor, a 64MP portrait sensor, and an 8MP periscope telephoto sensor (60x hybrid zoom). The camera module on the rear also consists of the laser detection autofocus sensor and offers features like Super Night Mode. The lighting is handled by the LED flashlight provided. The front camera is a 16MP wide sensor under the punch-hole. Overall, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is a beast in terms of camera performance. 

The battery on this one is a huge 4600mAh Li-Po battery. There is support for fast charging up to 65W from the supplied charger. It is pretty overwhelming to see the presence of faster forms of fast charging, which makes the overall experience very solid and you’ll be able to refill the battery upto 100% in just 45 minutes. The Type-C charger will allow you to connect the charger with the device. 

With a Snapdragon 888 processor, three 64MP cameras, a fourth 13MP periscope telephoto camera, and a big 144Hz AMOLED display, ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is in all forms a flagship. The camera arrangement is one of the phone’s main selling factors. Although the IP rating and the microSD card slot is missing, given the price tag, this will be the most preferred device by many users.
