  1. Aarogya Setu App will be mandatory on all the smartphones which will be sold after the lockdown period. The new devices will not just have the app installed but also will require the users to register on the Aarogya Setu app while setting up the device.
  2. Tiktok app has crossed the 2-billion download mark all over the world on the Google Play Store and App Store. India has recorded the highest number of downloads out of this. In just a single quarter, Tiktok has recorded 315 million downloads in total which is the highest for any app.
  3. Google Meets has announced that the Meets video-conferencing application will be offered for free until 30th September amidst the coronavirus lockdown. Google will remove the capping of 60-minutes on free calls.
  4. Jio is coming with a new app for the users called Jio Meet which will be a direct competition to Zoom, Google Meets, GoTo meeting app for providing the free video calling service to the users.
