Huawei Mate 40E

Huawei has launched the ripped-off version of its flagship smartphone, Huawei Mate 40 in China. The new flagship device is named, the Huawei Mate 40E and according to Huawei, the newly launched Huawei Mate 40E is coming with amazing specs as featured by its siblings. There is a beautiful OLED display, wireless charging, super-fast 5G technology and much more. 

Huawei Mate 40E Price in India

Huawei Mate 40E comes in three colour options including Secret Silver, Glaze White and Bright Black. Huawei Mate 40E comes in two variants, one with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. For the base variant, Huawei Mate 40E price is CNY 4599 (Rs. 51500) and for the top variant, the price is CNY 5099 (Rs. 57100). In China, the sale is going to start on the 18th of March. However, there is no information about global availability yet.

The smartphone measures 158.6mm in height, 72.5mm in width and 8.8mm in thickness and the overall weight of this smartphone is 188 grams. The front side comes with a punch-hole design and minimum bezels at the top and bottom along with curved edges for offering an edge-to-edge experience. while the rear side features a stylish circular-camera module for housing the triple-camera setup. Also, the circular camera module houses a laser focus sensor and  LED flash. The edges on the back are curved for giving a nice feel while holding this smartphone. For biometric authentication, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor and Huawei Mate 40E features IP53 level dust and water resistance.  

Huawei Mate 40E hosts a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 90Hz of refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display of the Huawei Mate 40E also features FHD+ resolution and supports 16.7 million colours along with a DCI-P3 colour gamut for bringing the best possible visual experience.

For offering the superfast 5G connectivity, Huawei Mate 40E boasts the Kirin 990E, which is an octa-core processor. To enhance the performance further, there is a Mali-G76 GPU and NPU under the hood. Also, Huawei is offering large 8GB RAM along with 128GB or 256GB internal storage. The operating system is EMUI 11.0 based on Android 10, though there should have been Android 11.

Coming to the camera section, Huawei Mate 40E features a 64MP Quad-camera setup on the rear, offering a 64MP main lens with an aperture of f/1.9, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and an 8MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and supports OIS. There is also a laser focus sensor along with an LED flash placed in the circular camera module. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4. The rear camera of the Huawei Mate is an ultimate choice for any photography enthusiast at the given price, but the front camera is not that attractive.

Huawei Mate 40E comes with a decent 4200 mAh non-removable battery for long day usage without interruption. Along with a huge battery, Huawei Mate 40E supports fast charging and reverse charging along with 40W wireless charging. There is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger to your device.

If you are looking for a premium-range smartphone with 5G connectivity along with decent gaming performance and photography experience, then this smartphone has got all these features. Although there are few flaws, looking at the total package, it is not a bad deal at all.
