Xiaomi is preparing to end software support for a significant number of its phones in 2026. According to the company’s updated timelines, 14 smartphones across Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco brands will no longer receive software updates. These devices will officially be classified as “End of Life” (EoL), meaning they will stop receiving Android updates, new versions of HyperOS, and essential security patches.
Affected Devices And Their End of HyperOS Support Dates

Among the devices affected, Poco models are among the most notable. The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro are set to receive HyperOS 3, based on Android 15, but this will be their final software update. After May 9, 2026, both models will no longer get any further software updates.

Here are the key devices and their respective end dates:

- Xiaomi 12 & Xiaomi 12 Pro: End of support in March 2026
- Xiaomi 12T & Xiaomi 12T Pro: Support ends October 13, 2026
- Xiaomi 12 Lite: End of support on July 1, 2026

What Happens After This?
Once the End of HyperOS support hits, these devices will continue to function normally in terms of hardware and apps. However, without regular software and security updates, these phones may become vulnerable to newly discovered threats. As no security patches will be released, it could put sensitive data at risk over time.
For users of the affected devices, upgrading to a newer model before the support ends is a safer choice if security and up-to-date features are a priority.
