Google’s latest Pixel 7 series made its debut recently this week. This news came just after a few days of Made By Google Event. It included the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro, alongside the Google Pixel Watch. Google Pixel Tablet was the much-awaited and the first tablet in Google’s Pixel range of devices to launch. A tipster revealed that the Mountain View, California-based giant is all ready to come up with its first foldable in early 2023, which is Google Pixel Fold.
Google Pixel Fold Reveals
According to the tweets on Twitter, Tipster Roland Quandt tweeted about the search giant’s first-ever foldable phone. Then DSCC analyst Ross Young replied to the tweet with a tentative arrival of the device.
Young said it may launch by the first quarter of 2023. That suggests the launch date be around early March of next year. Moreover, during the Made By Google Event, the launch was expected to be around this year. But that didn’t happen.
Also, Young tweeted to another user’s query who asked whether the Pixel Fold was cancelled; he said that the panel shipments start in January. Moreover, Young previously commented that the launch would be in Spring 2023 in the US.
However, a tipster in August, Evan Blass, said that the foldable comes with a codename Passport. That would launch early by this year. But Google didn’t say or make any announcement during its recent event.
What’s more on Pixel’s new Fold?
The new foldable was seen in a trademark and IPO listing in August. The filing showcases a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. At the start of this year, tipster Jon Prosser tweeted that the Google Pixel “Fold” is real. After which analyst Ross Young corroborated.
Young suggested that many companies would launch new folding smartphones, and Google would be on the list.
The specifications of the Google Pixel Fold have not been disclosed yet. But it will use Samsung-made ultra-thin glass (UTG) for the foldable panel. Google has recently been under the light for developing the Pixel Fold.
