iOS 27.2 leaks have started revealing what Apple could bring to the iPhone with its next major software update. While Apple has just rolled out iOS 27.0.1, testing for iOS 27.2 is already underway.
The early beta has revealed several interesting changes, including a major FaceTime camera upgrade, a cleaner Apple Podcasts experience and a new profile system for the Apple TV app.
Here are three of the biggest features spotted in the iOS 27.2 leaks so far.
iOS 27.2 Leaks Reveal Group FaceTime Dual Capture
Apple introduced Dual Capture with iOS 27, allowing compatible iPhone models to use the front and rear cameras simultaneously during FaceTime calls.

This means you can keep your face visible with the front camera while using the rear camera to show something happening around you.
However, the feature currently works only during one-on-one FaceTime calls.
That is set to change with iOS 27.2.
The update is expected to bring Dual Capture to Group FaceTime calls, making the feature considerably more useful. Users will be able to keep their front camera active while also showing their surroundings during a group conversation.
For people who regularly use FaceTime with multiple friends or family members, this could be one of the most noticeable changes in iOS 27.2.

Apple Podcasts Is Getting A Major Queue Change
Another change revealed by the iOS 27.2 beta is coming to Apple Podcasts.
Apple is replacing the existing Up Next section on the Home tab with two separate sections: New Episodes and Continue Playing.
The New Episodes section will focus on the latest episodes released by podcasts you follow. Meanwhile, Continue Playing will show podcasts and episodes that you have already started but haven't finished.
The change should make the Podcasts app easier to navigate. Instead of putting new and unfinished episodes into the same queue, Apple is separating them into dedicated sections.
This could be especially helpful for users who follow a large number of podcasts and often struggle to find an episode they started earlier.

Apple TV Profiles Are Coming To iPhone
The Apple TV app is also getting a feature that has been available on Apple's TV platform for some time: user profiles.
With iOS 27.2, iPhone users could get a new profile selection screen when opening the Apple TV app. Users will also reportedly be able to disable the profile selection screen if they don't want to use it.
Profiles will allow Apple TV recommendations and content to be personalised for different viewers.
The feature could be particularly useful for families sharing an iPhone. A child can have their own profile, with Apple showing age-appropriate movies and shows instead of mixing their viewing activity with the main user's recommendations.
That also means your own Apple TV recommendations and watchlist should remain less cluttered.
iOS 27.2 Could Also Bring An Anti-Snatching Feature
The iOS 27.2 leaks point to another potentially important security feature that Apple is testing.
The feature is reportedly called AutoLock internally and could automatically lock an iPhone if the system believes it has been snatched from its owner.
The feature may look at several signals to determine whether a phone has been taken, including a sudden acceleration, a paired Apple Watch becoming unreachable, prolonged loss of network connectivity and the iPhone remaining unlocked for an unusual period.
It is important to note that Apple has not officially announced this feature yet. It is still part of the beta testing process, so its final functionality could change before the software reaches users.
For now, the three confirmed areas of change seen in the beta are Group FaceTime Dual Capture, the redesigned Apple Podcasts queue and Apple TV profiles.
Apple is expected to reveal more details as iOS 27.2 testing continues.
