The iQOO 12 series of smartphones is scheduled to launch later this year. They will succeed the highly popular iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro released last year. The specifications for the iQOO 12 series have leaked before launch.
iQOO 12 And iQOO 12 Pro Expected Specifications
The iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro leaked specifications reveal it will sport an E7 AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 24 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the tipster says the phone will have a metal body and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It could run on Origin OS based on Android 14 and ship with 1TB of internal storage.
Regarding the optics, the iQOO 12 will have a 50-megapixel OV50H primary sensor and a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope lens. While there are no details about the other cameras, the ultrawide could be the same 50-megapixel camera as its predecessor. The image processing could also see an improvement thanks to the presence of the Vivo V3 ISP chip.
Furthermore, the phone will have a “super large battery” with support for 200W wired charging. There will be a USB 3.0 port, and iQOO 12 could have 100W fast charging support.
Qualcomm will announce its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in October, whereas the V3 ISP chip will debut with the Vivo X100 Pro in November. This means the iQOO 12 series could launch in the final months of this year in China. A global launch will follow it in the first quarter of 2024.
