OnePlus has announced its Oxygen OS 14 operating system based on the Android 14 update. It has released the update even before Google rolled out the stable version of Android 14 for its Pixel phones. Oxygen OS 14 has features like Trinity Engine, a new Security Center and many more.
Oxygen OS 14 Debuts With Trinity Engine
The new update introduces the Trinity Engine for OnePlus phones, a proprietary platform with six technologies to “unlock the full potential of your OnePlus device”. The core of the Trinity Engine includes CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and ROM Vitalization.

Starting with CPU Vitalization, it tries to achieve the best balance between performance and power consumption based on usage. RAM Vitalization optimizes memory and allows the app to stay in the background for 72 hours. In addition, the ROM Vitalization prevents long-term performance degradation using efficient compression algorithms, file defragmentation, and memory acceleration.

The HyperTouch, HyperBoost and HyperRendering work together to deliver an enhanced gaming experience. The HyperTouch feature improves response times and prevents mistouch, whereas the HyperRendering uses frame interpolation to enhance graphic quality in games. Both features are hardware-dependent and will be available in select OnePlus phones. Hyperboost, on the other hand, reduces power consumption and improves heat dissipation while gaming.
New Privacy And Security Features
Oxygen OS 14 also introduces several security features based on Android 14 Security and Privacy Center. These include chip-level encryption called StrongBox4 and Device Security Engine 3.0 based on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).

When sharing screenshots, a new Auto Pixelate 2.0 feature can blur sensitive information such as credit number and contact details. Furthermore, the “Ask Every Time” permission pop-up appears when sharing photos and videos.
New Aquamorphic 2.0 Design
Oxygen OS 14 has an Aquamorphic 2.0 design brings new animations, interactions, music, colour systems, and more. The redesigned status bar can show notifications in bubbles, capsules, and panels with minimal disruptions. In addition, you will also find nine new sets of ringtones, alarm tones, notification sounds and effects.

Moreover, the colours on Oxygen OS 14 will also change dynamically based on the time of the day, status and content. You also get three new Always-On Displays with a carbon footprint theme change based on your daily step count.
Other Oxygen OS 14 Features
Oxygen OS 14 also brings a new File Dock feature where you can save all your important texts, photos, files and links. This dock stays in your sidebar and can be easily accessed in the system and third-party apps.
Next is the redesigned Notes app with formatting options, including colours, underlines, strikethroughs, and dividers. To create a new text template, you can also combine font sizes, styles, and colours for paragraph dividers.

Third is the Smart Cutout feature, which can recognize and cut content from an image such as a person, pet or object. Additionally, It separates the foreground from the background and even works in group photos.
Furthermore, the Smart Connect 2.0 feature lets you connect your OnePlus phone to your tablet and share content across devices. In addition, it can auto-connect to devices that you have paired in the past without any manual input.

The new Clone Phone 2.0 feature allows you to transfer your settings, wallets, and OnePlus watch settings from your old device to the new one. Moreover, Oxygen OS 14 offers 15 GB of Google Photos, which can be accessed in the OnePlus Cloud.
