Oppo has finally launched their budget smartphone, the Oppo A16, in Indonesia. The smartphone has been in the rumor spectrum since May. The smartphone has launched as a successor to the Oppo A15, which was launched in October of last year. Moreover, the specifications and price of the smartphone have been revealed as well. The Oppo A16 comes with a big 6.52-inches LCD HD+ display. Additionally, the display comes with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Moreover, we can see a pixel density of 269 PPI alongside a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Also, the display comes with a 71% NTSC color gamut and a typical contrast ratio of 1500:1. We can also see a peak brightness of 480 nits, a 88.7% screen-to-body ratio alongside a dewdrop notch.

On the processor front, the Oppo A16 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. Additionally, the octa-core chipset is paired with 3GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Furthermore, the internal storage on the device is expandable via a microSD card slot. When it comes to the software, the handset runs on Android 11 with the ColorOS 11.1 on top.
For photos and videos, the smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor alongside two 2-megapixel sensors. The 2-megapixel sensors are for B&W and macro shots, respectively. On the front, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Oppo A16 packs a big 5000mAh battery along with 10W fast charging support. Additionally, the handset comes with all the essential connectivity options as well. These include dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS) and USB Type-C port for charging. The device also retains the conventional 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the smartphone comes with dimensions of 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4mm and weighs 190g.
Price And Availability
The OPPO A16 price in Indonesia is set at IDR 1,999,000. Now, this converts to roughly Rs. 10,291 in the Indian currency. Moreover, the handset comes in the Pearl Blue, Space Silver, and Crystal Black color options. Also, the India launch details of the device is currently under wraps.
