Oppo just wrapped up the launch of the OPPO Find X8 series last month with the release of the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. However, discussions about their successors are already buzzing online. A majority of the leaks so far have focused on the camera hardware of the upcoming model OPPO Find X9 Ultra. So, read ahead to know the major camera redesign and upgrades on this smartphone.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra Leaks: A Major Camera Redesign
The leaks reveal details about the telephoto modules in the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. According to their information, the device will come equipped with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. This is an upgrading from the 50-megapixel module found on the X8 Ultra.

The second 50-megapixel telephoto lens is expected to keep the same resolution. But, the leak suggests it will see an upgrade in zoom range, increasing from 6x to 10x.
What More To Expect From This Series Of Smartphones?
The OPPO Find X8 Pro shares a similar telephoto setup to the Ultra model, but a recent report suggests the OPPO Find X9 Pro may come with a single periscope camera, likely a 200-megapixel module.
Additionally, there are rumors that OPPO plans to expand the Find X9 series to include four models: OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X9 Plus, Find OPPO X9 Pro, and OPPO Find X9 Ultra. These devices are expected to compete with the Apple iPhone 17, Apple iPhone 17 Plus, Apple iPhone 17 Pro, and Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max.
However, it’s still too soon to get a complete picture of the Find X9 series. The Ultra model is unlikely to launch until 2025, while the other variants are expected to make their debut in October or November, most likely following MediaTek’s unveiling of the Dimensity 9500.
