The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021 event in Barcelona is all set to begin tonight. It is a four-day event that will take place from July 1. At the event, tech companies such as Google, Samsung, and Intel will showcase their upcoming products. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy MWC event will take place today (June 28, 2021), and it’s expected that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 will be unveiled. Watch Samsung event at MWC 2021: Livestream, Timings

The virtual event will start at 7:15 p.m. today CET (10:45 p.m. IST). It will be live-streamed through Samsung’s official YouTube channel and the Samsung Newsroom site.

What to Expect

Samsung announced on the Newsroom site that it would unveil its vision for the future of smartwatches at the event, with new options for developers and consumers aimed at bringing in a new era of smartwatch experiences. At the event, the next-generation Galaxy Watch 4 is likely to be launched. It might be available in four different colors: black, dark green, rose gold, and silver.

In addition, the Galaxy Buds 2 is also expected to launch.  The company, on the other hand, normally announces its products during the Galaxy Unpacked event, whereas the MWC event focuses on upcoming technology concepts. So yet, it’s unclear which products will be unveiled at the event.

Samsung also teases improvements to its OneUI software. Particularly in terms of how it plans to improve security in its IoT devices.

While the smartwatch is the most awaited product, a poster for today’s MWC event implies that Samsung may also show off new foldable phones and possibly a tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 family, are reportedly in development.
