Samsung Will Bring S Pen to Its Foldables, Company Confirms

    S-Pen confirmed, what more to expect?

Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on August 11, 2021. However, they have not confirmed what they are bringing for the consumers. Many are expecting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 to launch during the launch. Moreover, the company has also confirmed it is not launching the Galaxy Note this year. According to company mobile chief TM Roh, Samsung will instead bring S Pen to its foldable phones.

It looks like the company is focussing on its foldable smartphones right now. This also means it aims to bring some Note features to future Galaxy Z foldable phones like S-Pen. According to the official, the company will launch the first-ever SPen designed specifically for foldable phones.

The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold combines the very best that smartphones and tablets offer and delivers completely new ways of working, connecting and creating, while the upcoming Z Flip exhibits an even more refined style, armed with more durable, stronger materials”.

S-Pen confirmed, what more to expect?

His statement hints at the launch of foldable smartphones during the launch apart from confirming the S Pen. He also mentioned that to bring an enhanced foldable experience, the company worked closely with partners including Google and Microsoft. Moreover, he also says the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold would combine the best of smartphones and tablets. Whereas, the new Galaxy Z Flip would feature a more refined style. It will come along with more durable and stronger materials. On the other hand, some leaks suggested that both new foldable would include water resistance and improved hinges.

Meanwhile, Roh did not explicitly mention anything apart from the foldable or S Pen. Many are speculating that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 could be amongst the other announcements at the virtual launch. He also talks about Samsung’s recent collaboration with Google to build a new unified wearable platform. In addition, he also specified the development of One UI Watch interface. It is touted to be deeply integrated with other Galaxy devices and provide consistent connectivity between the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy smartphone. It is likely to be a part of the company’s new smartwatch.
