As per the latest rumours and reports, Meta-owned (Formerly Facebook) app WhatsApp is struggling to expand its limits. The company is working on a new community feature similar to that of Discord. Whatsapp can add a Community feature to the instant messaging service application shortly.
The Community feature has greatly been popularised by Discord and is fairly similar to how Discord and its Channels operate in function. In the month of October, XDA Developers suggested the same, and now WABetaInfo has also joined the team.

WhatsApp’s new Community feature
XDA Developers back in October gave a hint about this new Community feature that WhatsApp is reportedly working on. They also strongly inferred that the Communities feature will be a brand-new addition to WhatsApp and will exist parallelly besides the Groups in WhatsApp.

Now WABetainfo has given some more confirmation that promotes the rumours behind the new Communities features on WhatsApp. WABetainfo suggests that WhatsApp’s new feature will essentially give more control to the admins. This latest feature is well versed with that of Discord communities and channels operate.
Also, admins of the Communities will now be capable of inviting more users into the Community via Community Invite Links. Users can then start communicating with other members.
Although the appearance and design of the feature remain unknown, WABetainfo has disclosed that the feature seems to be end-to-end encrypted. Adding to this, we can expect that Whatsapp will bring subtle changes in the design of the communities feature. But still, the company has not yet confirmed anything regarding the same.
