Oppo launched the OPPO F11 Pro at Rs. 24,990 in India. The phone features a 6.5-inch Full HD (FHD) + IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 90.8% screen to body ratio. One of the first things that will catch your attention is the rear panel that sports a triple-gradient design (first seen in Oppo F9) that looks stunning, particularly in the Thunder Black colour variant. There’s another colour option too – Aurora Green. The OPPO F11 Pro runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) with its custom ColorOS 6 skin on top. As for the processor, it uses an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P70 processor coupled with 6GB RAM, which is quite impressive. To handle the graphical side of things, the phone gets a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Although the internal storage is 64GB, it is expandable up to 256GB. It comes with a 4000 mAh battery capacity. Coming to the camera, the Oppo F11 Pro sports a dual-camera module in the rear – a 48-megapixel primary sensor and 5 Mega Pixel depth sensor and a 16MP pop-up selfie camera on the front. With so many cool features, the F11 Pro is putting up fierce competition for other Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Vivo.
Oppo F11 Pro Price in India
Oppo F11 Pro is a stunning device from the brand in the upper mid-range segment offering near to flagship features. Oppo F11 Pro launching price in India is Rs.16,890 for the 6GB+64GB variant. The price for opportunities F11 Pro 6GB/128GB model is Rs.22,599. Opposite F11 Pro is available in two colour variants of Aurora Green and Thunder Black. Compare to other devices Realme U1 offers the same processor and now starts at Rs.10,999.
Of late, Oppo has been focusing on the design factor of its phones, and the F11 Pro is no exception. The rear panel is made of high-quality polycarbonate that reflects a stunning triple-gradient finish. While the Aurora Green gradient transitions from a dark green to sea-green and finally to blue, the Thunder Black variant transitions from dark blue on one-sided to purple on the other, to finally black in the centre.
The curved edges provide a good grip. On the rear, the dual-camera setup is centrally-aligned with an LED flash. Just below, you can see the Fingerprint Sensor. The right side of the phone holds the dual (nano) SIM card slot and a dedicated microSD card slot. Below that lies the power button with a neon turquoise line in the centre.
The volume buttons lie on the left side of the frame. As for the earpiece, it is placed between the frame and the display. The bottom part of the phone houses the 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a micro-USB charging port (with 20W VOOC fast charging support) and speaker vents.
The Oppo F11 Pro sports an edge-to-edge, 6.53-inch inch Full HD+ LCD screen. Unlike other phones that claim to offer the FullView experience, F11 Pro comes without a notch and a minimal chin, thereby offering a ‘true’ FullView experience that we mentioned a while ago. The display delivers good contrast and brightness levels, and the sunlight legibility is also decent.
The 90.9% screen-to-body ratio coupled with the practically bezel-less screen allows for an amazing viewing and gaming experience. Since there is no notch, the selfie camera rests in the pop-up module and pops-up every time you launch it for selfies or use it for Face Recognition. Apart from this, the top part also has a mic and an Ambient Light Sensor.
Oppo F11 Pro uses an octa-core (2.1 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A73 + 2 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) MediaTek Helio P70 processor, coupled with 6 GB RAM. This combination looks quite good and promises a decent overall performance. Oppo F11 Pro can handle multitasking seamlessly without showing any signs of stutter or lag while switching between apps.
The 6GB RAM is to thank for the fluid experience. Even the apps load quickly, and it is easy to navigate through the responsive user interface. To enhance the performance, Oppo has developed the ‘Hyper Boost’ performance acceleration mode that boosts the overall performance by a great extent. Plus, the phone gets a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
So, if you are into graphics-intensive games, you will have a pleasant gaming experience. Even games like PUBG can run very smoothly on the phone.
As for the Fingerprint Sensor and Face Unlock features, both are incredibly responsive. The Face Unlock feature works well in all light settings, thanks to the Screen Brightness Compensation setting that turns the screen white in colors to lighten up the face for easy recognition.
Cameras are undoubtedly the most highlighted feature of the Oppo F11 Pro. On the rear, it has a 48MP primary camera (f/1.7 aperture) and a 5MP secondary depth shooter (f/2.4 aperture). There are plenty of useful options like Portrait, Panorama, Expert, Slo-Mo, Continuous Shooting, Time-Lapse, and Nightscape modes along with HDR imaging and the new Chroma Boost.
The camera app is equipped with AI Scene Recognition. There’s also Beautification option if you wish to enhance or tweak facial features. The 48MP primary camera has a 12MP default setting. Using the camera at full resolution means that you’ll miss out on settings options like Chroma Boost, AI Scene Recognition, HDR, Filters, and even Zoom.
While daylight shots come out looking crisp, sharp, packing a fair share of details, the Nightscape mode proves to be very useful in low light settings – it enhances the clarity of the images and can even capture distant objects clearly. Also, images captured in low-light settings/night time have very less noise; they do not look blurry or grainy.
In daylight/well-lit conditions, the Portrait mode offers clear images with good background blur. The Chroma Boost is also a great addition since it does seem to boost the dynamic range of photos, thereby enhancing the colours of the captured photos.
The pop-up 16MP front camera too does not disappoint. In bright light conditions, the captured images look exceptional, with an accurate color representation and lots of details. However, in low-light conditions, selfies do display a lot of noise. Both the cameras can record videos only up to 1080p which is a little disappointing since most smartphones in this price range offer 4K video recording.
The Oppo F11 Pro has a massive 4000 mAh battery that can easily last you a day on a single charge, provided you use it only for day-to-day tasks like light browsing/gaming, calling, texting, and so on. However, if you’re into extensive gaming or rely heavily on your phone for multitasking, the battery can last up to 8-10 hours max.
Thankfully, the phone comes with a 20W VOOC charger in the box that helps in fast charging. Also, the Oppo F11 Pro has a few battery optimization modes like the Super High Power Efficiency and Smart Power Saver mode.
So, long story short, the Oppo F11 Pro is a stunner in many respects – it has a stunning gradient design and FHD display (without a notch); it has a decent mid-range processor that performs smoothly, and is equipped with a set of powerful cameras work almost flawlessly. This seems a pretty solid deal for 25k!
