Realme announced its latest Realme 16 Pro series and is set to launch in India on January 6, 2026. This series will have two device Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro Plus. Currently, I’m using the Realme 16 Pro Plus to give you my first impression. Where I can only discuss the design and Camera without providing any conclusive aspect.

Realme 16 Pro Plus Design: Feels More Flagship
Realme introduced a fantastic design and a camera module on the Realme 16 Pro Plus. The brand always tries to set a trend in camera layouts. We have seen new rounded camera bumps on the Realme 14 Pro Plus, then a different setup in the Realme 15 series.
Now we have a brand-new camera layout in 16 Pro Plus, rather than following the old camera design like other Samsung and Apple phones.
To give you more context, I have seen a camera setup similar to this on the newly launched OnePlus 15, arranged horizontally on the phone. One of the fantastic things is that the body does not dictate the camera design, so that it can be perfectly flat on a table.

Just adding here first: this phone is designed in collaboration with world-renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, showcasing the all-new Urban Wild Design. This philosophy blends natural textures with modern urban aesthetics.
Talking about the back finish, Realme introduced a Bio-Based Organic Silicone that is Eco-Friendly, Skin-Soft, and Durable. We have seen a similar back finish on the Realme P3 Ultra, but it has more refined and upgraded tech.
Realme claims that it is made from renewable plant-based straw; this bio-based silicone is crafted with an entirely eco-friendly process. So, it is safe for the skin and gentle on the environment, and it reflects real sustainable innovation.
I also felt soft, finely textured with a subtle leather-like feel and slight elasticity. Moreover, it is so comfortable for long-term handling. And the best part is that you can use it without a cover, and it is naturally anti-slip.
At the starts it seems that it will be dusty after prolonged use, but Realme claimed that this phone is resistant to aging, dirt, bacteria, and wear. So, it maintains a “like-new” appearance even after prolonged use.
Realme 16 Pro Plus’s in-hand feel is fantastic; it fits perfectly in a single hand initially, thanks to the quad-curved body. Regarding ports, you can see a power button and a volume button on the right side, with nothing else on that side. Its top contains a microphone, a secondary speaker, and an IR blaster. At the bottom, there is a SIM tray, Type-C jack, and speaker grille.

Realme 16 Pro Plus Camera: Built To Capture More Than Just Pretty Pictures
Realme 16 Pro Plus will be a camera king in its price range after taking so many photos. Let’s talk camera specs first. Realme broke their boundaries in the mid-range by adding a huge 200MP LumaColor camera with a Flagship Samsung HP5 sensor, 1/1.56. So, it offers ƒ/1.8 aperture with full-pixel autofocus and Super OIS stabilization.
Moreover, it features a 3.5× Telephoto Portrait Camera with a 50MP telephoto sensor, an f/2.8 aperture, 10× Digital zoom, and Super OIS stabilization.
The brand also added an 8MP wide camera, offering a 115.5° field of view, AF autofocus, and Wide-angle macro.
I clicked a lot of images while sharing a few with you all. Its portrait mode is fantastic, capturing details accurately without missing edges.
This phone also manages to capture in bright light with a balanced skin tone. To capture any food, you can use its food mode. While the brand added to opting image, like vibrant and natural, giving more flexibility to capture the images.
Moreover, a few modes added AI lighting to provide a more realistic lighting effect. The AI snap mode is similar to action mode for capturing running shots smoothly.
Realme also added AI Edit Genine, allowing you to edit images instantly with AI Lightme, AI StyleMe, and AI Inspiration. Similar AI Editor also added more features, such as AI Recompose, AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity, AI Perfect Shot, Unblur, Remove Reflection, AI Glare Remover, and AI Landscape.
Moving on to video recording, you can record 4K videos at 60fps with the rear camera and 4K at 30fps with the front camera. I recorded a few videos that show a satisfactory focus shift and capture audio perfectly.

Realme 16 Pro Plus clearly shows that Realme is pushing hard on design and camera innovation this time, from its eco-friendly, skin-soft back to the new 200MP camera system. The phone feels thoughtfully built for users who care about both style and photography. This early experience hints at a device that could easily stand out in the crowded mid-range segment.
