Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Price in India
The base variant of the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G costs EUR 229 (approximately Rs. 20,300) and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage costs EUR 249 (Rs. 22,100). Most of the Samsung smartphones feature plastic bodies, the same is the case here, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G features a plastic build. The front side features Glass protection, but the actual detail about it is unknown yet.
The design pattern is also the same as seen in most Samsung smartphones. There is a square-shaped camera module on the top left corner, housing three sensors on the rear along with an LED flash. The back panel also features Samsung branding.
Speaking of the front, you’re receiving an infinity-v display along with a small chin. The device comes in Gray, Mint, White and Purple colour. The right edge features the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Samsung used to offer excellent displays initially, but now the smartphone company doesn’t seem to be serious about it. Here you’re getting a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, which is a TFT LCD panel. Samsung Galaxy A22 also features a 20:9 aspect ratio and 399 PPI pixel density along with a 90Hz refresh rate.
It has an undisclosed octa-core CPU under the hood, which is reported to be MediaTek Dimensity 700. The Realme 8 5G and Poco M3 Pro 5G both have the same CPU. The phone also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card (up to 1TB).
While the manufacturer did not mention what operating system the phone will come with, it did indicate that it will come with One UI 3.1, which implies that the phone will come preloaded with Android 11.
The phone supports 5G network, as its name indicates. Other connection choices are yet to be revealed, but we expect dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C connector.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, on the other hand, does poorly in the camera department. A 48MP primary module (no OIS) and a 5MP ultra-wide-angle module are housed in the triple cam on the back (plus a depth sensor). The front-facing 8MP selfie camera is housed in a V-shaped notch.
The battery size is decent here. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G features a large 5000 mAh battery, which is sufficient to last for the whole day. Also, there is a 15W fast charging support and for connecting the charger, the device supports a Type-C charging port.
The final verdict is that don’t settle for 5G when there are other sections stripped down. Yes, a TFT display along with a meagre camera setup at the given price point is not something that one can expect. If you are looking for a 5G phone, then there are multiple other options available in the market with overall great specs.
